I try to not care about anything TOO much though, as caring can become a form of attachment.

That's sorta the point, you spend a few decades accumulating wealth and a few decades spending it.

my guess is he doesn't have a clue what to spend it on, other then "goods", a vehicle of some sort, a home of some sort, and then otherwise "trinkets" and "bobbles"
because what else can you spend money on? travel, maybe, but the guy thinks that every country in the world is some dictatorship. i mean... whatever. WHATEVER.

Do you identify your God as Jehovah/Yahweh, the God of Israel?
Were you born into a christian family, or did you convert later in life?
Do you believe Allah and Jehovah and Yahweh are all names for the same God? And do you believe that God has only one proper name, and if so, what?

I believe that after a home and possibly car, the best thing to do with money is first build a large savings account and then begin stockpiling real commodities like freeze dried food, large amounts of purified water, weapons, ammunition, medicines, drugs, tools, camping gear, survival supplies etc.
Its also good to invest in education, donate to worthwhile charities, and buy a cabin or farm in the woods near a lake.
Also its worthwhile spending money to travel the world.
I would also like to own a bulletproof suit (they have these tailored suits that look just like a nice business suit but will stop a bullet) and this sweet radiation resistant underwear they make in Japan. Both of which are very expensive.
I would also like to stockpile gold and silver bars and tablets.
Probably the greatest optional expense is having children. Last I heard each child costs almost a quarter of a million dollars to raise to adulthood. My parents had four children. By my thinking by simply not having any children I am an instant millionaire- I should save at least a half million dollars in my life by not having kids.
I plan to use that money saved not procreating to get a PhD and buy a cabin in the woods by a lake, and an underground fallout bunker.

Stockpiling is one of my hobbies, so yes I like hoarding for the sake of it (as a hobby) but also for the pragmatic value and practicality of it (There have been countless occasions where I go into my stash for something I need for day to day life, like grabbing a lighter to smoke a joint, or a roll of toilet paper when we have run out, or some freeze dried camping meals for a hiking trip, or bandaids and disinfectants when my wife or I get injured, or medicine when we get sick).

according to the amount of popular fiction and devout fear mongering, i'd say... alot. alot of them.
plus, who doesn't like stuff... even if it's in a inordinate pile of rubble.
