New To Experiencing LSD Flashbacks
    #19173328 - 11/22/13 01:15 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

I think I've been having LSD flashbacks and I just wanted to hear some other people's experience with them. On 26th October I had my biggest acid trip on 600ug. I've had LSD only 4 times prior, and two weeks ago I stopped smoking weed because they were giving me flashbacks so I decided I needed to air out for a bit.

I'm a little confused about what a flashback is exactly and if there are any other people who experience similar phenemonnon so I'll explain what's been occurring.

Yesterday I was working out on a site (IT) waiting for some software to install. I was playing around with a pen when I suddenly re-visited the LSD "thought-space".

The flashback was not visual - nothing seemed to sort of "fan out" or "melt", it was all regular, sober vision - I just began to feel that cognitive "understanding". Specifically, when I was playing around with the pen, it sort of clicked to me that I'm just a hyper dimensional being altering matter in 3D space along 4th dimensional cross-section. Or in other words; it felt like I had snapped back out of the cultural conditioning. I started to feel pretty anxious at this point, but I was still on the "ground level" - I could still communicate effectively and focus on tasks. I was just sort of distracted by this sudden awareness of hyper dimensional space. I realised that all humans do is interact with an environment beyond our understanding and erect systems of language etc etc.

It's hard to explain but I suppose that's LSD for you. Hopefully someone may understand?

And it wasn't necessarily unpleasant, I just started to get a bit anxious because my breakthrough was a very difficult trip that I'm still trying to assimilate, and I was a little alarmed that I had such a vivid sort of "flashback" almost a month since I'd last dosed.

Some trips can take a longer to integrate than others for different people. You were just remembering a state of mind from your trip, be it an unconscious thought or not. Although I would say that is far from what most people consider to be a flashback.

And in my opinion and LSD flashback is a mythical thing. I have been eating LSD for 16 years and nobody I have ever met, including myself, has ever experienced a flashback.

I will say however that i have read about people experiencing residual effects from nbomes or other rc's. Was your acid always tasteless

This is how I feel about it...memory always brings you back to where you were, in a sense...tripping memories just feel strange because the original experience is so out there.

LSD can cause residual effects too. It's more a matter of being unlucky or sometimes abusive than which drug you take.

Anyways, plenty of flashbacks when I'm stoned. The ones I get sober are like OP describes. Just mental states of reliving an idea or memory and I generally find them very pleasant. In fact I wish I had them more

Puritanical 'all drugs are bad' bullshit is how I have always viewed the concept of LSD flashbacks. Years ago it was said that you would be getting flashbacks perhaps 10 years down the track.

It was also stated that for every LSD square you take, it will lave a permanent scar (actual, nor psychological) on your brain... as if it's somehow burned into you forever.

Only when Im baked and I tripped recently do I flashback, and it's incredibly uncommon. Even then only mild effects. I think why some people don't percieve them is because they are so mild. Almost not worth noticing.

Not anywhere close to what some the psychedelic RC's can do to you
