Starting a fundraiser, got a few questions about donations

I'm starting up a fundraiser that will accept donations (for a truly great cause). I'm curious about what some good ways of accepting donations online are and what (if any) legalities there are in doing so that I should know about. Has anyone had experience doing anything similar? Any help is appreciated. Right now, I'm thinking maybe pay-pal?

Google is your friend.
I would think it would be difficult to set one up but I have no idea.

Good luck brother!
LegalZoom.com is fairly inexpensive for things like that. You can even do some free research on their site to see what forms you need to fill out.
TeamLaw and Way of Kings is interesting and refers to common law and contract. I follow the law of the land.
Much love brother! Best of luck with your non-profit. What do you intend to do?
-------------------- We are starting a mushroom growing network to provide FREE and/or inexpensive gourmet and medicinal mushrooms to local communities accross the US and globally. We have the opportunity to feed and heal each other. We simply need to work together. By sharing our talents we enable ourselves and others to enjoy a world of abundance. We'd love for collaboration from YOU, PM me!

Didn't realize that this would cost money to do... I don't know if non-profit organization is even exactly the right term... I just want to take donations to spread to those effected by something that recently happened in the area... I'm just trying to rebuild a certain community and make the world a better place.

It still would apply. You can probably take donations without much money or effort.. But starting a non profit organization whether it be just for donations or whatever you choose I would assume would be more difficult..
I don't know for certain. Admittedly I know pretty much nothing about this kind of stuff, just going with how most things are in the world.

lol are you fundraising for the weed farmers that got raided?
There was a pregnant woman outside the grocery store tonight at 2am. She begged us to drive her home but my roommate just wanted to eat mac n cheese and i didn't have an opinion.
