What would be a good 28th amendment to you?

I don't understand term limits. They have term limits. It's two years. If you don't like them, you get to vote them out. Competent congress people shouldn't be forced to leave office because of arbitrary rules.
Plus, when you set term limits, you are asking for corruption. People who don't have to get reflected tend to not care what they do in their last term.

Election reform. Take the super pac money out of the electoral process. Replace the electoral college with a popular vote. Ensure that states can not pass laws designed to make voting more difficult. make election days federal holidays.

The thing is, once you get elected, you are hit from all sides with demands from those who put you in office; and I don't mean the people... I mean the money. If you are a good dog and do what they say, you will likely get elected again. Term limits would at least make it hard to be a lifelong special interest shill.
Good point about getting re-elected though.. that's why it should be like a 4-term limit or something.

Fungi actually. And it's not the fungi it's self which makes up penicillin. Penicillin is a bi-product, or enzyme exuded by the fungi. Wow fail.

Washington is a massively corrupting force. I really don't think I need to say anymore than that, the less time they spend there, the better. I know you're from the area so maybe you don't understand how much different it is from the rest of the country. Too much money and too much power.Quote:

The penicillin harms the bacteria, being an anti-biotic and all.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about using the penicillin.....
Penicillin antibiotics are historically significant because they are the first drugs that were effective against many previously serious diseases, such as syphilis, and infections caused by staphylococci and streptococci. Penicillins are still widely used today, though many types of bacteria have now become resistant. All penicillins are β-lactam antibiotics and are used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible, usually Gram-positive, organisms.
Wow fail.

Kinda expanding on my previous point and I'm sorry for going a little ot, but: I don't know why we continue to call people out of office for years by their previous titles. This drives me mad and seems to be antithetical to spirit of the founders. You go into office and serve the people then gtfo and become a privet citizen again. I'd love to see more term limited presidents ride out in their old Buicks, just saying.
We're a country of laws and not men.Quote:

Sounds like the 14th Amendment to me, though it sure seems like it has no teeth these days.
