-Help Wanted with Identification-
    #19171446 - 11/21/13 05:43 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

After the rain finally stopped pouring I go outside and find these. Closer to the woods I found some Gold Chanterelles, and also these no idea what they are called tho.

Kinda looks like a Galerina, but I'm not sure. Gill shot would be helpful.

For some reason these are sending me strong Laccaria vibes..I think its because of the cap texture and shape....

Do you remember what color the gills were on these?

Compare with Armillaria species.

White would definatly rule out Galarina.

I don't think its an Armillaria sp. though. I've never seen them grow in moss, and in such a wide area.  I have found singles...However 99% of the time they are in clusters that are all connected at the base. I think they're too small, even for Armillaria tabescens.  Also; IMO the stipes seem to be the wrong texture for Armillaria.... Then again I've been wrong plenty of times this week.

I'm still leaning twords it being a Laccaria sp.; as they fit the habitat in the picture, scattered growth, Umbonate cap, and for some reason they're still giving me Laccaria vibes...
