Hi,
My jars reached 100% a couple of days ago, today when I looked at them I noticed some creamy/yellowish spots on the side of the jar, I think this may be wet myc from moisture, but these spots were not there when I checked two days ago.
Could you guys please tell me if this is contaminated or possbibly metabolites? I only had a camera phone so I hope they are clear enough.
If they are metabolites is this usually a sign things can get worse?

Yep, those are metabolites, and a very mild amount of them for that matter. Nothing to really worry about. Have you been keeping them in a place that got warm?

No, not really, it was quite a hot day yesterday, but other than that I just keep them in a storage box with a blanket over it.

Then it's probably just genetics. Give it a sniff when you birth it and you'll know for sure if it's bacterial--most of the things we identify as bad smells are bacterial in nature, from farts to sour milk, stinky feet to rotten meat.
