I've always been under the impression that UK winters would wipe them out, considering they're from mexico I keep mine in the house I could be wrong, maybe someone can confirm this?? Salvia Divinorum makes a deadly house plant to answer your last question

ah I see nice that sounds like it would be cool I've found sally to be a fairly easygoing mistress my main girl is about 8ft and she mothered some clones a few months back that are doing great. They love the scottish rain bigtime! How easy is Kratom to grow? I'm intrigued now

I would definitely leave it indoors all year round. While I believe it could get warm enough for it to be outdoors, I don't believe the season would last long enough to have any significant growth. If you started indoors before the last frost it could be a possibility, but then why bother moving them outside at all? The seeds have feathers to catch the wind on them, and are pretty damn small, so the first rain or wind could ruin your entire germination process. Not to mention the seedlings themselves are tiny, and could be killed by the rain as well. I'd think it would be best to try to germinate as many as you can indoors, and keep the strongest on a windowsill or under fluorescents, and put any others in an outdoor plot. I'm not trying to be discouraging but I know how unpredictable (or predictable... rain rain rain) the isles can be.
I'm not attempting to derail the thread but if you would like to look at the seedlings I just germinated to gain perspective on their size, you could go into my journal.
