Please excuse me if this a dumbf*** question that everyone else learned in elementary school. Blame my dirty hippy education. Montessori-great a making you well versed in the subjects you cared about and completely ignorant of anything that didn't quite catch your fancy at the ripe age of 8 lol.
ANYHOW
I want to know if it really matters where I place my humidifier and trays of perlite in my greenhouse. Apparently my understanding of basic science lacks any real knowledge of how humidity works past making Ohio a miserable state in the summer. If it does matter (ie they work best on bottom, middle, top etc) can you please explain to me why. Thanks in advance!

If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should've behaved better.- Anne Lamott One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Chesire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Humidity rises....so I would have the main source of humidity come from the bottom.
If using an ultrasonic humidifier, I would pump the fog in the middle somewhere...so the fag can fall, and the humidity from it will rise.
Just my 2 cents...I could never really get my GH dialed in properly...so I switched to monotubs....much easier and more efficient.
And you can fit 10 monotubs in the same space as one GH........

I would put the trays of perlite on the bottom...with holes in them SGFC style, so air can pass up thru them..you will need clearance under each tray for this.
