The countdown has begun and Chewy is dehydrating his cactus.
this or next weekend they will be ground up and brewed for super fun times.

I woulda left them fresh or frozen repeatedly to be more precise if you aim to make tea, rehydrating then straining processed material seems like it may add hassle all around.

I can't brew it at my current location. Kids frequent these parts.
I feel like cutting it into stars and dehydrating it will just make it that much easier when it comes time to blend and brew

Just freeze it and leave in the fridge in a bag of frozen peas.

The trip..
A friend and I decided to embark on a later than expected munch sesh of the dried material I procured from my cactus.
There were strange signs of mold starting to form on the dried material as I had it stored in not so great conditions so the cactus itself acted as a substrate.
After losing approximately a 1/5 of the product there were still roughly 9 inches left to devour.
We decided to devour the dried material in peanut butter sandwiches and wash it down with the finest of beverages, Keystone light (haha);
It became apparent that this method was very slow and I was already realizing that I had wished I just went with a full on extraction with acetone or alcohol.
Never the less the come up was us contemplating our existence and bullshitting in a rainy shed while I watched my friend take bonghits to curve the nausea. I however am on probation so I of course could not partake.
To my surprise the buzz started very soon but creeped very slowly. I could already tell this experience was going to be incredibly long and slow. At about 8:00 PM we decided to go play some billiards in my friend's old basement that was refurbished with a retro type style consisting of antiques of all kinds from posters of the 50's pop culture to hundreds of records. THe setting couldn't have been better for the visuals we started to see. Unlike with all my other trips which have been more of the tryptamine nature this trip felt incredibly peaceful without the eratic emotions felt on other psyches. I started to see incredible patterns in the pool table and the vintage Coca Cola posters lining the walls. Some of the windows of the basement were of 40 year old stained glass that took on intense complexity as they swayed and morphed.
There was a point where it seemed we were being watched as we went outside to check on a pond full of ten or so beavers. As they flapped their tails on the water to intimidate us I couldn't help but get the sense that as we watched them in their habitat, "something" was watching us watch them. A peculiar feeling I experienced on my first 4 aco DMT trip as well.
I felt odd sharing this feeling with my friend as he already has an ungodly fear of extraterrestrials for some apparent reason.
AS the trip began to wind down I couldn't help but to feel almost sad that my generation is so utterly selfish. I started to get intimations that the way we go about our lives carelessly was not going to fair well for us in the long run. I could not pinpoint my exact purpose to these feelings but I accept that they were a crucial part of the entire experience.
All in all I recommend anyone to try Bridgesii as it is mellow at reasonable doses and very versatile besides the nausea that seemed to linger throughout the trip.
PEACE,LOVE,TRANQUILITY Y'ALL

Thanks for sharing, Chewy! Sounds like a really interesting trip, especially with the 50's themed basement.
I definitely would like to try mescaline soon, from what I hear it is a very unique psychedelic. Maybe it'll come to me when I am ready! Who knows...

Actually roughly 9 inches each minus what I had to cut away due to mold
