Mycena adonis? Found growing under a fallen pine.

I believe this is a Mycena as well. Any idea on the species?

And, some Coprinus micaceus

Your first looks like Mycena pura. My. adonis is more delicate.

Your second Mycena would need a more detailed description, and pictures of younger specimens as well.
If the wood it grew from is conifer, and the mushroom had a nitrous odor, it could be something close to M. stipata. Yet that is a mere guess from my side.

Thanks Anglerfish! I was having a hard time getting clear pictures of those. They were very very tiny and my camera kept wanting to focus on the wood instead of the mushroom. I need to get a real camera with a macro lense instead of using my cellphone.

There are several points worth noting when trying to identify Mycena species, some of which aren't necessarily showing in pictures, like smell and texture, for instance. Check among other things if the cap has a separable pellicle or not, texture of the stem, base of stem etc.
Regarding smell, some species are obvious while some needs a little squeeze before you can recognize it.
Also check the more minute attributes, like color of gill edges, cap and stem surface, eventual "bleeding" and such. If you don't have a camera with macro, you should bring a field glass and take notes.

Thanks for sharing the info! I will certainly apply the knowledge to my future Mycena finds. Even better, I ordered a Microscope. It should be here next week. Ideally, all my future ID requests will be accompanied by microscopic images as well.

I am thinking about getting something like this, the old kodak easyshare cam pooped out on me. This I am thinking would be a good upgrade.

Now that is a price I can swallow! If you get it, please please please post some pics and give your review. I am currently saving up for Alan's recommendation- canon 60d.
If that camera produces good quality, I wouldn't mind saving $800.
