ID on possible edible?
    #19167713 - 11/20/13 09:39 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

These guys were found in large quantities scattered throughout a mixed(pine/oak/poplar) forest area in north GA. Dead logs nearby but not close enough that I can pin point central location to any of them. Hollow stems. Large gills spread from center while small shallow gills spread from outter edge of cap. Gill structure extends further down stem similar to chantrelles. Black trumpets in same area. No specific color differentiation in bruising. Can I cook/eat them?

Looks like one of the Clitocybe species.  I wouldn't eat it, as there are several toxic species in that genus and they can be hard to tell apart
