First grow, need help with cakes

I started growing over a month ago and have done thorough research, following an updated PF tek to the T. I have 4 cakes in the fruiting chamber and only 2 cakes have pins, and each cake only has 1. The first cake I put in the FC a day after full colonization (I was impatient and didn't read enough to know better at the time). It had its first pin 2-3 days ago after being in the FC for almost 3 weeks. The rest of the cakes were put in after a week of consolodating, but 2 still have not pinned. The other cake that has pinned did so in vitro. However after being in the FC with its single pin growing, no more pins have shown up. I have a plant light running 12/12. My temperature for the first week in the FC was 75/82, the current temperature(for the past week) has been 70/75 night/day. I have been fanning/misting 5-10 times a day, usually fanning twice to misting once. I figure any experienced grower can tell how my FC is doing much better than I can by seeing the single mushroom that is growing, so I've uploaded a photos of its progress. I would appreciate advice on what I should do to help initiate more pinning, and any explanation as to why the cakes would only create one. Day 1-5 pics Day1 Day2 Day3 Day4 Day5
Edit: I completely forgot to ask about this blueish discoloration I've seen on 2 of my cakes, and is this primordia?
Edit: Yes I did dunk and roll the cakes

Yeah its in a SGFC with ~4 inches of perlite. I built it following RR's Let's Grow Mushrooms videos, it looks very similar other than being non-clear

Clear as in what? Nothing is poking through the verm, and I haven't moved the verm to check.

Yeah I cut out a square in the FC lid and covered it with a piece of clear plastic to allow light to pass through the top

The problem is that you never dunked and rolled. Submerge your cakes overnight in a pot, weighted down with a plate or something heavy enough to keep them under the water but not damage them. When you take them out, roll them in vermiculite and back into the SGFC they go. You'll be amazed at your results.
That discoloration is bruising from dryness, and it will disappear a day or so after the dunk. And yep, that's a primordium.

Are there 1/4" holes every 2" on all 6 sides?

Actually, looking more closely at the pictures, it doesn't look like a SGFC at all. There's no perlite. OP, can we have some pictures of your fruiting chamber?

I am sorry I should have posted pics of my FC. It is a SGFC, I pulled the racks with cakes out just to take those pictures. Yes, I drilled 1/4" holes about 2 inches apart on all six sides. As I mentioned earier I followed the PF Tek exactly and I did do a 24 hour dunk on all of them. The first cake I rolled completely in vermiculite, the other cakes I only covered the top and bottom after their dunk. Here are pics: SGFC exterior, SGFC interior, and day 6 of my mushroom

Yup! That'll do. Dunk and roll and you'll see results pronto.

is there a fan running in the same room as your fc? if so it could be syphoning moisture out of your chamber and the cakes are just drhydrated, as another poster mentioned you should always dunk your cakes after they are birthed and after each flush.

No there is no fan running in my room, very minimal air circulation at all actually. Would a clear tub have worked better? I purposely avoided getting a clear tub as I've read myc uses the light to know which direction to grow. So I wanted to allow light in only from the top. As I've said I did do a dunk and roll with all of the cakes

Yes...

RogerRabbit said: Mushrooms don't use light for direction of growth. Mushrooms grown in total darkness will still grow straight up, opposite gravity.Mushrooms turn towards the light because they are using it as a source of energy. That's why mushrooms grown with the proper amount and spectrum of light grow much larger and heavier than mushrooms grown with insufficient light. It's also why light is just as important during the growth phase as it is during the pinning stage. RR

Thanks for that Notahacker420. I've read in several places it does use the light and haven't thought to check up if that was correct or not. I'll keep that in mind getting my next tub

Another suggestion is to leave the cakes in their jars until they begin pinning or at least a week after the jar appears fully colonized.
