I've looked through a lot of the posts to get this answered, but most haven't any pics. Grr.
I have 0% contam in my first 6 cakes ever, but now I'm worried about this.
Here is a picture of one of my B+ cakes.
Thoughts? Is this normal?

Thanks, and yeah... I screwed up the FC. I wanted to use hydroton, but the whole thing isn't working as well as I'd originally thought.
It's my first one, so I'm just hoping for fruit at this point.

Well when they clay is completely submerged, you just made it pointless.
Air is supposed to evaporate off of it...but it cannot if it's underwater at all times.
I would build a proper SGFC and forget about a PMP setup....but that's just me....I like things that work.

Update:
Ok... last weekend, I moved these into a SGFC... and the pins started growing out like crazy from the bottom of one of the cakes until it fell over. The others aren't doing much at all. I've been trying to rehydrate them. They get 12 hours of light. They have a fogger on them. I mist/fan them about 3-4 times a day. I think they want more water.

What's this about a fogger? Probably want to ditch that. SGFC has no add ons.

It was from the lid of my last catastrophe. I figured turning on the fogger would be good since they need more water. I'm assuming that's a bad idea?

I'm turning it off right now. This is my first cult... and I'm trying to keep the cakes alive.
