As so you've never seen a mason jar.

Ahh I see...we don't have those in the UK

Explains some confusing things I've read on here in the past

Wouldn't no lid and a rubber band or something to hold the paper towel work just as well??

You bet. You just want to make some sort of psudo FAE to make the jar more like fruiting conditions. The lid you have for colonizing only lets gas diffuse but fresh air ever gets in.

Invitro fruits are fine.  You can spawn or harvest them as desired.  However, in the case of the original poster, he found contamination so they're not suitable as spawn for that reason.

Here's a few of mine.

I'm sure the yield sucks but if you want to at least see something with 0 risk then it seems like a good choice.

I wonder if you could case it in the jar haha.

I wonder how long it will take to pin. You should keep it updated with pictures. I might fruit in-vitro if it doesn't take ages.

IME with KSSS they really need ideal conditions to pin. I know a cube is a cube but, I think most people who grow KSSS can agree that they are in their own mutated fucked up class almost like PE. I have never tried them with cakes but I have also heard that they don't do well on those either. Maybe its just me, but I got a feeling that they might just not perform in a situation like invitro fruiting.
