Got a pore shot? I think there are some rather obscure daedeloid genera out there in the tropics. I wonder if there is any way to determine if that is Birch? It would have to be River Birch, right?

nice shots is there a technical term for when you get 'extra' gills out the side/top like in that first purple cort shot? is it more prevalent in some genera than others or is a trait shared by all basidiomycetes?
