Help w/ BRF Jars Boiling Wet

Hi guys i am new to this forum. Ive been using search for a while now but i need some serious help. Im boiling my 2:1:1 BRF and Verm mixture. Several times now the jars have somehow gotten wet while boiling. I have even gone as far as putting duct tape over the holes, two layers of tin foil with duct tape sealing the bottom and a plastic baggie with rubber bands around it. Boiling water about 1inch up on the regular mouth 1/2 pint jars. They should most definitely not be getting any extra moisture in them. But they still get moisture in them. The substrate level drops slightly and i can tell they are more moist. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong and have tried every thing i can think of. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In RR's videos he says put the water just at or slightly below the bottom of the jars. I did this with one layer of foil over jars and had no issues with water getting inside or getting on top of the lids at all. If boiling for 90 mins like recommended you will most likely need to add more water at some point so it won't boil dry. I did this at 60 mins. Also you need to have it barely boiling you don't want a rolling boil.
Keep in mind this is coming from a noob but I hope this helps.

Using a dish towel on the bottom of the pot. So you think i should actually elevate the jars completely out of the water?

Use an aluminium rack of some sorts,
shouldve came with your PC -
I use a stainless steal bowl if I want to get it real high and set the rack on top of the bowl.

Im boiling water in a pot. I haven't got myself a PC but i assume i could acquire some type of rack similar to one used in a PC, for my pot. Theres got to be something I'm doing differently. i know you guys have done it successfully.

if your jars are of the bottom and you have duck tape plus 2 layers of tinfoil underneath a plastic bag? me thinks it was just to wet to begin with

Have you tried the search function at the top right of the page?

I'm with Rubestoad on this one. If water can't be getting in, it probably isn't. Can we see pics of your soggy jars?

Did you remember the alu foil over the jars while they boil? It doesn't matter if the water comes a few inches up the sides of the jars. Crumble alu foil to small balls and put in the bottom of your pot for elevation. Alu foil is easy to shape and work with, cloths and whatnots sounds scary to me.

I had the same problem my first two tries with my pc.
The problem is that the hats are not elevated. They need to be above the water and the water should be at least an inch, so you need your hats to sit on top of something over an inch tall.
I solved this problem with two layers of jar rings with circles of foil cut in between, just like in RR video's.

I appreciate all the help guys. I know that the substrate is not too wet. I even did a run of jars purposely too dry to make sure i wasn't over saturating. Im going to try the double jars rings with alum foil and let you guys know how it turned out. Y'all are the best
