Should i put these Monotubs into Fruiting Conditions?
    #19160615 - 11/19/13 04:51 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Should i put these two monotubs into fruiting condition. As you can see one has a couple premature pins. Should i let it consolidate for a little longer or just go straight to fruiting. The substrate that was used was the Manure based substrate from Out-grow.com.
Here are some pics:

I would wait a lil bit longer. You don't have to let a tub consolidate you
fruit as soon as it reaches 100% colonization. Those tubs look to be at about 95%

How many days have they been colonizing??

Premature pins can be a sign of contamination...sometimes.

The first one needs to wait.  Was your spawn very large or very sparse just not very well mixed?

The second one is iffy.  Looks kind of bacterial, but I'd say fruit it now or tomorrow.

Both of them for about 2 weeks, my temps are a little colder than usual during the night its around 67 ish degrees which i think accounts for the slow colonization, but during the day time their around 72-75 . and as far as the spawn i used 3lb bags off of midwestgrowkits.com i don't know how many quarts that is, but each tub was filled with a 5lbs of substrate off of out-grow and were mixed relatively well. The second one does not have a funky smell and i see no signs of contam , but ill start fruiting tommorow. If their is a contam it should reveal itself around the first or second flush?

67 at night shouldn't really affect things since the inside of the tubs are going to be warmer than that.

Cool, so should i wait on the tub with the premature pin or just start fruiting tommorow? And as far as the other tub it dosent have any knots at the top of the substrate should i wait for that or should i just go straight too fruiting as well

First one is not 100%, wait. Second one go ahead and fruit.

id go ahead and fruit the one with the fruits

Usually premature pinning is usually because of a contamination.
