Where did all the donors go?

I'm looking to help fill local organic shops and restaurants with medicinal and gourmet mushrooms!
Its my first time growing alot at once but I'm looking to really help educate people on the benefits of organic medical and gourmet mushrooms. I know many local people suffering from all sorts of stuff that want a more natural approach to health as well.
So I'm thinking even though I can't use the market place. I'm hoping I can possibly inquire someone help me get a few start up species. I wanna support the community and would gladly send spores/cultures back once I harvest. Or I could just owe you a print of one you need and I'll go find it. I just need something to cake up and fruit while I wait 3 months.
I've been trying to get a spore sample of any kind for awhile now. Without funds I can only trade what I have listed in my signature.
I know you guys kinda frown on newbies for asking for spores and stuff and bailing out on you guys but maybe some people will see my sincerity and will help a fun guy like me help the mushroom movement!
Thank you to anyone willing to help!

Damn you guys are pretty rugged on the newbies when it comes to this. lol
I can't believe nobody has a little faith a stamp and a sample. But I guess someone had to ruin the generosity of others. Either way this community is still awesome. On a positive note I got my Folding@home working better now.

You might have to wait a little longer than 3 hours for a response. Most these guys have jobs and you posted first thing in the morning.
Can you work with agar?

you don't usually start edible mushrooms from spores if you don't have to. you use cultures. PM me and I'll see if I can't help you out...

I'm not trying to be harsh when I say this...but you still have a lot of research to do if you want to make this work.
Start here www.mushroomvideos.com the online download will cost you $10 an is worth every penny.
After that, start doing searches on the various cultivation websites for the specific species you want to grow.

I've just never grown from anything other than a print. So you know. Don't have experience in the agar media realm bro. But I've got information up to the throat. I'm reading through Mycelium Running as we speak man. I just really need to do this and get experience with it firsthand while I'm reading the steps. Visual learner not memory based.
Me personally I'd say that instead of people telling me what to read they could instead offer a spore sample to a fellow human. Because I know that's what I'd do.

Edible spores are fairly uncommon. Starting with a live culture will put you ahead of the game, by a lot.
The Spore Depot has liquid culture syringes for $15. Sterilize your grain, then inject the culture, done.

There are species where you can start from spores but in general most gourmet growers use cultures either obtained from a vendor or cloned (wild or store bought).

Thank you again for doing exactly the opposite. I've seen the market on my friends account. People dish out spores like crazy for free and otherwise. It would be dumb to get a strain that way. I want to use spores people have brought to their prime. And support the community spore trade. Not fund commercial prints and spores. Sponsors or not I just dont think its cool man. Love goes into some of those spores out there. I want spores with love. Not spores sick with profit.
So again. I know this is happening because I'm a newbie to this site. Maybe mycology in general having only a few grows and a few books done so far. But the last thing I need is someone coming in and regurgitating the information in front of my face and all over the web.
I asked for help getting spores or cultures. Not help growing them. But thanks anyways.

And the useless information exchange continues. This forum doesn't read HELP IM INCAPABLE OF GROWING FUNGUS! right? no. It says I'm requesting help from someone else in the community that would be kind enough to send me the only thing I'm missing. Spores, Cultures, anything.
If you can't help with that its okay I'm really not to heart broken but if people are gonna just flood my thread with info I did not request and that is off topic and that I already know. Especially If your gonna put all that effort in and not help me reach my goal. Then don't waste my time and your time posting info neither of us need. Stay on topic and stop throwing up the basics on my request thread. Thank you!

The spores in the marketplace are damn near exclusively psilocybe or paneaolus. I haven't seen any edible prints offered in quite a long time. Most cultivators don't keep edible spore prints, they keep cultures.
www.bemushroomed.com
There may be some spore samples there, but I haven't looked through all of the listings in quite some time.
Now I think I'm just going to see my way out of this thread...

Even to his very last post he continued to tell me stuff I already knew. Thank you Captain Obvious! Now that everyone in the world gets that edible mushrooms typically come from cultures and not prints can we move along?

Seriously. And just about zero people have spore prints of edible gourmets.
If you want free spores or cultures you could go out and hunt for the species you want and clone a wild specimen. You could even clone a store bought very easily, but that isn't free which is apparently what you are looking for.

And thank you one of many people who come in here and state the obvious. Clearly the spore thing was for medicinals and cubes. Jesus. And I'm the newbie here? How many people really surf threads to state the same thing others have already. I can already see this community is plagued heavily with captain obvious syndrome.

It's really just this all the time? Nobody can help others out. Make things simple. Whatever happened to having faith in your fellow human?
So because I want a few spores to get started and get some cultures and stuff together so I can help the community and people who are new. I'm some sort of newbie asshole? Because any asshole can fuck over the people on this site. But that doesn't mean every new guy asking for some help is a con artists.
And it doesnt matter how free I want things to be. Because it seems nobody can even spare the fucking 68 cents for postage. So while you bitch and cry about how I want a free bit of assistance. On the other note in that same breath your saying it should be an expectation to pay money for everything. What the fuck kind of hypocritical shit is this?
So am I supposed to rape people for change to help them out too? Does nobody here work enough to spare a dollar to help someone who will send it right back when they harvest? What the fuck is wrong with you people? A bunch of scary slimeball pocket rapists over a dollar? not even. either theres alot of homeless people on here in need of change. Or theres a very large shortcoming in the community. But what the hell do I know. I'm a newbie. I just babble out my but and steal everyones prints.
A bunch of filthy cantankerous scum dwellers. Here's my pocket change for you leeches and vermin. This thread is closed.
