Let's not just think strictly bongs either. I think I will do this with my big glass sherlock. Which is clean right now. This would be even more practical with bubblers, sidecars, steamrollers and stuff like that. It is important to liberate the bonafied bong, but it is not practical to carry one around in public. But if the bong's little brothers and sisters are vindicated, no one will be able to deny the reasonable legality of a bong as well.

I think Sherlocks would be the most excellent tool for this purpose since pipes of their design were originally used for tobacco, also because they are so damn stylish. A big one with inside out glass and all the trademarks of extravagent glass work would be best!

HAHA! I did it once at college. There was a smoker's area by the student union. It was halloween, so a few students were wearing costumes. I had a cheap plastic bong in my backpack loaded with shisha. I pulled it out and started smoking it. This attracted a lot of attention from the other students, but I quickly explained to them that it was tobacco. Several of them asked if they could hit it, and I let them, some of them had friends take pictures of them doing it. Some students seemed visibly upset.

After several minutes of this, I put the bong back in my backpack, and headed to my next class. On the way, I passed two or three campus cops walking quickly in the direction I had just come from, but I don't know if they were looking for me.

Operation pipe dreams was based on the assertion by the government that nobody uses bongs to smoke tobacco. This video shows us why. It's because if you do, you get hassled, or assaulted by cops.

If I had encountered the cops, I would have been less confrontational than that guy. Also, my bong was a cheap, small, lightweight plastic bong. His was very viable as a weapon, and I think those cops handled it pretty well. I just wanted to establish the fact that people smoke tobacco out of bongs.

Which is still pretty cool. Better done than not done, anyway. I just think it could be done with a little less smarm.
