I love documentaries. I figure from now on I will post the ones I watch in this ongoing thread to make a handy compilation for anyone else looking for one to watch. I will also post a quick review / description.
Cocaine Cowboys
An absolute must see fascinating exciting gripping documentary about a crazy time in Miami history when Columbian cartels brought insane money and insane violence to Florida.
Vice: Cannibal Warlords of Liberia
An eye opening expose of what is and has been going on in the nation of liberia, with flesh eating guerilla armies, crazed generals such as general "butt naked" who admits to feeding on infants but is now supposedly a born again christian and is not being legally punished because he is a preacher now. Shocking look at how other parts of the world live.
Four corners: The Ice Age Documentary
A good documentary about the harms associated with methamphetamine use, one of the few good docs on this subject.
Unmasking an Extraterrestrial Presence: A compilation of interesting clips from abductees, witnesses, expert testimonies, news clips, media coverage etc of UFOs and Aliens and speculation or disclosure on what the alien's are doing here, what their agenda is, their cooperation with humans, secret bases, underground tunnels etc. Suggests many aliens are hostile and here to feed on human glands.
This is just a start and I will be adding one or two at a time every few days from now on. Please add your own. This could be a good resource.
My personal interests are Drugs, conspiracies, aliens and extraterrestrials, secret/concealed politics and fringe science and anything to which the terms "mind blowing, down the rabbit hole" and "trippy" apply.

I just watched 'Dirty Wars' the other day on netflix. It was an eye opener as to casualties of war and the ever increasing corruption in our own government..

Robot Revolution, will machines surpass humans (2013-05-04) Full
This is a seriously awesome documentary. It is fascinating how they claim that the Fukushima nuclear disaster has sparked an explosion in humanoid robotics to assist in the cleanup...

The Atomic Cafe
One of the defining documentaries of the 20th century, THE ATOMIC CAFE (1982) offers a darkly humorous glimpse into mid-century America, an era rife with paranoia, anxiety, and misapprehension. Whimsical and yet razor-sharp, this timeless classic illuminates the often comic paradoxes of life in the "Atomic Age," while also exhibiting a genuine nostalgia for an earlier and more innocent nation.
Narrated through an astonishing array of vintage clips and music--from military training films to campy advertisements, presidential speeches to pop songs--the film revolves around the threat--and thrill--of the newly minted atomic bomb. Taking aim at the propaganda and false optimism of the 1950s, the film's satire shines most vividly in the clever image splicing, such as footage of a decimated Hiroshima alongside cheerful suburban "duck-and-cover" routines. More than anything else, THE ATOMIC CAFE shows how nuclear warfare infiltrated the living rooms of America, changing the nation from the inside out.
Immensely entertaining and devilishly witty, THE ATOMIC CAFE serves up a revealing slice of American history: the legendary decade when we learned to live in a nuclear world.
pretty much says it all.

Its almost like a jelly they secrete when they feel threatened.
He claimed after taking it that it wasn't that psychedelic. More of a dissociative like DXM or alcohol.

This is an interesting documentary about a middle aged man who discovers MDMA, gets super into it, and allows his young children to take MDMA with him (including his son who seems to be about 13).

I Am bumping this thread...
(2010) 76min.
Good documentary by the director of Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, and The Nutty Prof. to name a few.
Asks the questions what’s wrong with our world (society), and what can we do to make it better? -- then kinda trails off into hippie shit
Suggests some logical fairly 'conservative answers' most people would almost have to agree with to an extent i like how he mentions loving your neighbor on sunday and back to business monday.
at around the 40 min mark it does go into new age metaphysics stuff that may distract some but brings it back for a nice positive closer.
if you love Ace Ventura P.D., Fletcher Reede J.D., and/or Sherman Klump P.h.D. you should give it a watch!

Krokodil: Russia's Deadliest Drug A homemade drug called Krokodil is gaining popularity in Siberia and its effects on users are horrific. Krokodil is Russian for Crocodile, because of the way addicts' skin begins to get turn scaly, dry and eventually rot right off their bodies. Even most heroin users are frightened by Krokodil and want nothing to do with this terrifying drug
Drug Growers Growing hashish and opium is part of the culture of Pashtun tribes in northern Pakistan. Many depend on it for their livelihoods. Armed resistance is their only way to fight their governments 'Holy War' on drugs. With weapons like the AK47 freely available in Darra (the arms capital of North West Pakistan) neither side will back down. We visit the secretive tribally-controlled Khyber Agency bordering Afghanistan. Pakistan authorities don't dare close the multitude of heroin labs - they fear rebellion. Last time the government took on the Pushtun, ninety people were killed. Film of Pashtun poppy farmer Fez Mohammed, government anti-drug crusader Nawaz Malik, smoking in a hash den, the buying of weapons, tribal leaders, and James Magnor, the US narcotics attaché in Pakistan. Given viable alternative industries and jobs, the Pashtun people say they will abandon the poppy. Now, there is little hope of that with a government which now spends 80% of its budget on its military and the servicing of its national debt. ABC Australia
HASCHISCH 2002 How is hash made Awesome marijuana documentary about hash. Very cool cannabis film about the process of making hashish in Morrocco

I watched it not too long ao, i liked it even though I am not a big GG Allin fan. Some fav docs: King of Kong if you haven't seen this, see it. See a grown man cry over a Donkey Kong game and actually feel sorry for him.
Superheros http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1792621/ Watch some delusional people act out their childhood fantasies and wonder how long until they get shot.
Heavy Metal Parking Lot a short doc about the parking lot of a Judas Priest concert circa 1986. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322526/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Style Wars. Watch a bunch of early 80's NYC kids start a graffiti subculture that never stopped. And no Banksy either. Oh yeah and see hip hop when it wasn't about money. This is my favourite doc. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0177262/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Crumb 1994 doc about R Crumb the underground comix artist from the 60s and his messed up family.

I don't know if anyone posted this, but I just watched this one last night. It's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It's about scopolamine, one the active ingredients in certain varieties of the solanaceae family, like datura and belladonna. It's being used in Colombia to commit crimes. This shit is the most evil drug on Earth. It definitely deserves the term "Satan's flower."

Not really a documentary but Jerry Garcia talking about various things.
At 39:48 he starts talking about eating frosting from a cake that had been dosed and goes on to talk about rap, and how he thinks it isn't music.

It's about scopolamine, one the active ingredients in certain varieties of the solanaceae family, like datura and belladonna. It's being used in Colombia to commit crimes. This shit is the most evil drug on Earth. It definitely deserves the term "Satan's flower."

Its a toxic deliriant like datura that makes you vulnerable to suggestion, it puts you in a zombie like hypnotized state where people can just tell you what to do and you will mindlessly obey then forget everything that happened, and it can easily kill you.

It's poison basically . But it makes you delirious and causes hallucinations. It's like having a nightmare while dying .

if your intrigued then research
"The delirium produced is characterized by stupor, confusion, confabulation, and regression to "phantom" behaviors such as disrobing and plucking. Other commonly reported behaviors include holding full conversations with imagined people, finishing a complex, multi-stage action (such as getting dressed) and then suddenly discovering one had not even begun yet, and being unable to recognize one's own reflection in a mirror.[citation needed] The effects have been likened to sleepwalking, a fugue state or a psychotic episode (particularly in that the subject has minimal control over their actions and little to no recall of the experience). This is a notable departure from the effects of serotonergic psychedelics."
just a wiki quote, but anyway back on topic..
I would recommend checking out the documentary i posted above..sure its about extraterrestrials but it highlights quite a few interesting points.
check it out
