2.5 to 3 hours should be good.

2.5lbs? Those must be tiny bags. I'd do two hours tops.
I run all my bags (with 6qts of grain) for two hours in the PC at 15PSI.

Better answer than what? Perhaps a little history would help narrow down the answers you're looking for.
5LBs of grain sounds like a pretty standard load, so 90-120 minutes at 15 psi.
RR has stated that he has done 6LB grain bags for two hours, so the upper ends of that margin are likely better.

My bags make one tubs worth of spawn
I figured it would take more than 30 minutes longer considering its over 4 times the weight of a jar which is only 90
Do you guys use 5lb bags for screlotia or spawn or what ?

Two hours for your grain bags is fine
My bags weigh about five pounds, contain about 5 quarts of grains (prior to spawning), and I've never had a single sterilization issue with 2hrs @ 15PSI. I've run many hundreds of them, as you can imagine

I use mine as spawn for G2G. I can usually fit 5 in my 75x. i usually run mine for 3 hrs. Might be overkill but it works fine so I stick with it.

Are you saying 5 qts of dry or hydrated grain , I think you mean hydrated because 1 qt of dry grain makes my 2.25 lbs
I was doing 2 hours runs with jars and bag in them but I was getting contamination constantly , It must have been that syringe (I only say syringe not me because I grew other strains just fine during that time , well with at least some success as opposed to total failure), I used the whole syringe over 6 months and couldn't get a successful start be it jars bags or whatever
But I went up to three and it stopped , now thinking about It I also started using a different strain on it then cause I wanted to use it as grain spawn instead of a screlotia medium

Why would I be PC'ing 5 qts of dry grain?
Yes, they are hydrated.
2.5 hours will not hurt, but 2 hours is perfectly fine. Everything will still be equally dead

I didnt think you would pc the dry grain , I just thought that you might have used 5 qts of dry grain to make that five lbs which I doubt so I wanted to check
Will 3 hours hurt , like could It start to dry the grains out?
