Humidity Concerns
    #19156369 - 11/18/13 07:28 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

So im working on the humidity in my greenhouse. I have put one tray into fruiting, about 3 hours later condensation has appeared on the top of the mycelia... Is there too much humidity?

No.

There is no such thing as too much humidity for cubes.

Condensation on the substrate is a normal thing.....the substrate is producing heat.

What you want is enough fresh air to make that water evaporate slowly.

If you have a humidifier running, the mist might be settling on your substrate.  If so, that isn't condensation and needs to be fixed or it will saturate it.

This is what's happening.

If you don't fix it you'll wake up tomorrow with puddles or one big lake!

The trick to dialing in a GH is you can use the settling mist to keep your sub from drying out and essentially use that instead of misting.

Good luck, and check out my GH if you'd like any assistance.
