That is a great deal. I paid $125 for mine and had to drive 1/2 hour out of town for it. It was the best choice I have ever made. The only reason i can see to not get it is if you have a glass cook top and don't like taking risks. That prick can get heavy when fully loaded.

Measure from the top of your burner to what's above it (exhaust fan, microwave, etc)) and make sure it will fit, other than that, go for it. The weight issue concerns me a bit too.

speaking of the weight, has anyone used an Electric Steroclave before? they are expensive but would be nice to keep in the garage so I wouldn't have to listen to the Rattling while cookin If so, thoughts?

Another thing i was thinking about is what if my next place has a glass top? Can you use either model on a glass top stove?

Stereoclaves (AA at least) run silent, just like all AA Sterilizers.
They have a toggle, not a rocker on them.
I think that most AA products warn you about using them on a flat top electric range.

I use my AA921 on my flat range, it says not to but it took forever to heat up on a hotplate so I gave it a shot and it works just fine for me

My AA 75x makes the slightest hiss when venting steam at the beginning, but once the valve is closed it is completely silent. I freaking love it, AA products scream quality and craftsmanship.

This is good advice

I have used my 930 on a glass top. We just always made sure to wipe the bottom of the cooker and the top of the stove really well so there is no pressure point to crack it.
The other option is to pick up a propane turkey fryer and you can cook anywhere that way.
