Thank you by the way! I am always so hesitant to post journal-type stuff. Half the time i'm like, "no one is going to read this, and if they do they'll probably just think I'm nuts." So i like that you liked it!

Uhhhh I don't have a PC.... I went ghetto... And will probably get a fruit...
But all that going ghetto has done is teach me stuff... And make things longer....
I'm the type that needs to understand the why of things....

Going ghetto gave me that... But 3 months into it and still not anywhere near what I wanted...

So ghetto can work.... I've done ghetto stuff... Nothing's off the table...
But..... It did not save me money or time, in the end....

So if that's your goal... Think twice....
Me too there is a store here where I can get a PC at 30 bucks
Will do 13 psi and would fit a flat pint jar....
Still better than steaming 20 jars and losing 20 lol

Anyway good luck...
But having about 200$ well used on proper equipment wouldn't hurt as an investment.

Thanks for the ebay tip.... Definitly hurts to spend a lot for a good Pc

Unexpected company.... I wouldn't think that would come from your purchases.... Unless.... Reminds me of a story... A couple was buying lots of chemicals on a blacklist for meth labs.... They got "unexpected visit". But the visit found an "unexpected drug". They went in for a meth lab and only found a wife and husband experimenting with dmt... Are any of the supplies for growing mushrooms on a blacklist? No.... Only maybe the actual spores you buy online, but they are for mushroom identification through microscopy.... So normally completly legal to own... It's your call... My tip to you is avoid looking like a crack or meth cooker by accident... Just my 2cents though...

What would hurt me more is spending 200 bucks on fishy lab stuff and having unexpected company lol.

On a side note i'll tell a story and warning to those playing in stick piles. I went for the second time to the spot that I seeded this spring right before I got a really bad 3 weeks of diarrhea.  I replanted a few sticks with bluing mycelium that had recently been dug up and sprinkled some more locally aquired sand and chips and washed hands in the creek.  so then i took a little walk and when i came back there was people pointing at the stick pile.  I thought I was busted so I listened to their conversation which was about how beavers keep clogging up the drainpipes and how he throws the sticks over ~there" pointing at the pile.  Starting a week after that Ive rarely been able to sleep or leave the house for more than 20 minutes from the nonstop explosive diarrhea I've had for 3 whole stinking weeks.  I'm going to the doc today.  I'm leaving that spot alone from now on unless I got rubber gloves or hand sanitizer.  For all I know it could have been food poisoning or something but its more than coincidence to me i get sick twice after touching stuff there.  How long can parasites and nasty bacteria live on dried outdoor grown fruits?

Didn't you get a nasty tick bite this summer that could have potentially been Lyme infected? Did you ever check that out?

Hell no. If you feel like you've got a parasite you should drink some of my Mapacho tobacco juice.  :awepuke:

That's interesting that that tobacco could be used for parasites.  You should call up the health department and explain the benefits of using tobacco haha.  I just looked up your recipe.  I grew rustica once before and found it too strong in a sense but on the other hand didn't get the nicotine buzz I was craving so had the tendency to smoke until I was sick.  So for that reason I now only grow the tobaccum varieties (virginia and burley) and  I still have a pretty nice stash from this year's crop though.  Wouldn't any tobacco be just as good?

I think the mapacho can be too harsh unless you ferment it long and good, so you can't really smoke it as readily and comfortably as tabacum. I think there are all kinds of interesting properties to rustica... I put some singado on my dog's weird skin-growths and it seemed to take care of them. Maybe tobacco could be a cure for cancer?

Ive never tried corn, I always use rye.

But besides that it sounds right. grow out your jars then fill up boxes and put outside. Then leave them alone .

Ovoids are hella aggressive. I have an alder block, thats like 8 inches across and a foot long, sitting on my patch. If you lift it up its attached, but if you break it loose you see the whole face is colonized!!
I even have it colonizing an old brick!
I sacrifice roaches to it and it eats em up! :joint:
