Found these in Kent WA in manicured grass strips.

Cap is slimy and brown and the pellicle separates and seems like gel. 2-5 cm range.

The stem is fibrous and tan in color along with the gills

I can't get it to leave a print or perhaps the spores are light...still waiting.

No blue bruising or ring under cap

some pics are fresh/wet and some after 4 hours of drying

Entoloma sp.

Check well fertilized ares where the grass is green and dense, be sure to make sure there is some crab grass in there and it has some length as this might be a sign of over mowing and pesticides.

Good luck!

I've been calling them that for awhile.
What did this person suggest you call them if not sericeum?

They don't just grow in grass. Every one that i have found has grown in bark mulch. Not the cedar mulch it has a darker color to it. Im still trying to figure out if stuntzii don't grow in grass in my area(portland area).
