Found on what I think is hardwood (heavily decomposed). Small about two to three inches across. Solid orange color throughout, very flexible. Found in eastern North America.

Sorry for the quality of photos I am still working on getting the hang of mushroom photography.

Looks like some slightly aged Phyllotopsis nidulans.

I actually found some Phyllotopsis nidulans a few days ago. It seemed much firmer than this specimen. From what I read Phyllotopis nidulans has a furry top surface and this one seemed smooth similar to oyster, although it has been raining quite a bit lately that could cause the surface to appear smooth when it is not. If better photos are needed I can go out again tomorrow and get some, and get a cap for a spore print.

These could also be beat up old Omphalotus. Did you notice any stems?

I didn't notice any, I will go out tomorrow to get a better look at it. I would have brought it back for closer examination but I forgot my bags at home this time.

It is Phyllotopsis nidulans, The top one was aged so that the top was smooth, underneath it was a few younger specimens which had the furry top indicative of Phyllotopsis nidulans.
