Shrooms + lack of sleep?

This morning is going to be my first time tripping (taking 2.5-3 grams), and I'm too excited thinking about it that I can't sleep, so I just decided to stay up all night. Will this be a problem while tripping? Will I fall asleep? I prepared beforehand and had 16 hours of sleep the night before, so I figure I should be good. Also, it's going to be raining a ton and I want to spend as much time as I can in the nature. Will this be a negative "vibe" while tripping? I'm also contemplating smoking a bowl on the come up but I'm not exactly sure how this will effect me. Would it make my visuals stronger? Cheers!

Falling asleep on mushrooms is practically impossible, especially if it's your first time. If you feel refreshed then go for it, but it's good to have deep sleep before tripping.

Yea like DoomSquirrel said, even if you stayed up all night, you'll stay up during the whole trip. The difference is you might feel tired, but unable to sleep due to tripping.

First time with mushrooms?
I hope you love the experience. God, I did.
I highly recommend sleeping. It will make your trip so much better. You probably won't fall asleep, especially your first time (I was so wired my first few times I couldn't even sleep for hours after I was sober again). But the more I trip the more times I have fallen asleep when I tried tripping exhausted. Also, you will be more psychologically vulnerable if you don't have sleep in my opinion. If this is your first time with mushrooms, that could be a large factor of how your trip turns out. If it's your first time with psychedelics in general, even more so.
Have fun and be safe either way.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm planning to go down to the docks once I peak and feel comfortable doing so. There are no railings, so would that be a hazard? I don't want to fall into the ocean while peaking. :p

I have tripped while being tired. You will trip. I prefer well rested tripping but sometimes you take what you can get.

Does it take away from the experience and are you always focusing on being tired and wanting to sleep?

Mixing mushies with mild sleep deprivation is fine imo. Just combat the after trip "wired" with a heavy indica and even if you don't fall asleep you'll feel great :p
I'd only smoke weed on the comeup and the comedown. Mushies are strong enough on their own.
Anything beyond mild sleep dep (hallucination territory) and I would say don't do it. Shit can get really intense and it adds a delirium aspect. So if that's your thing, go for it. Personally, wouldn't do that the first time. It'll def change the trip if you've been up way too long.

I would say get some good sleep tonight and take them at your next opportunity. I know you're exited but you'll want to be at your fullest to really experience it, especially for a first time. I'm sure you could "get away" with not sleeping and still be okay, but why settle for that?
As for smoking, I would say wait until you peak and level out so you can get comfortable with the feeling and know if you'd like to take it up a notch. That dose is solid enough for a first time on its own for a first time.

I have tripped on little sleep too many times...it just isn't a good idea, you feel like shit and defeated by the time it is over. But then again the reason I did it was also because I was too excited to sleep, and I wouldn't have refrained from taking them at the suggestion of it, so good luck. I highly recommend saving the weed until the end of the trip if it makes you at all paranoid or confused, which it probably does at least minutely.

As long as it is a good dose, you will definitely still enjoy your trip, but there will be times where you stretch and are sore and wanting to go to sleep, but know you can't.

All of my trips have been after 11pm and most if them were great. I even woke my cousin up at midnight the first time both of us tripped. I told him the mushrooms would make him wake up, but really they just make you unable to sleep. During the peak he looked at me and was like "you said I wouldn't be tired, but now I'm just tripping and I'm tired!" Haha. Notice I said most of my trips were great, I believe any bad feelings I got were from taking them when I could be sleeping, I would think "I could be sleeping now, what have I done?!?" So they definitely added to comeup anxiety, but the peak was still mind blowing. If I were you I would take them as planned, just remember to relax and remind yourself that you will come down, and you have nothing at all to worry about.

Oh, also I always get this kinda like mind overload when I'm trying to sleep after I'm almost completely down. It's like I'll be lying down with my eyes closed, then ZZZZRRRRRNNNNNGGGGG! It's like combining the sound of tearing metal with the sound of an alarm clock. It makes me jump up every time, the weird thing is all of my friends experience the same thing when they trip. So yeah, beware of the strange audio hallucinations if you decide to sleep after your trip. Haha. Just thought I should add that.

Yeah I've had many trips where I would ingest at around midnight, but I think skipping the last night entirely and waiting all the way until the next evening is just unnecessary. You'll get more out of it if you get some rest, OP.

LOL....this is what I was thinking....then I realized that Harry and I are old fucks and stuff like sleep makes alot more difference to us that to the younger crowd (which is almost everyone on this site )I will say that the last time I tripped without adequate sleep...I couldn't wait for it to end.
And, Harry.....hope I didn't offend you by including you in my "old fuck" realm

One of my last trips I had been up for like 18 hours. I dosed and went for a hike.It was early morning, for me at least, and absolutely wonderful, but there was a bit of tiredness nagging at me. Only mildly distracting, making it hard to tell what was tiredness and what was effect of the mushrooms. I'd prefer being rested, but I don't think there's any harm in not being rested.
