Some colonization issues..plz help

Ok so Im having an issue right now I cant seem to solve. I have grown successfully in the past so Im familiar with the process. I order fresh spores consisting of a B+ and Penis Envy Mix. I then prepared and inoculated some jars. Not a single B+ jar showed any signs of colonization but all of the PE showed at least some colonization. The following week I injected more B+ and PE. Again no growth on any B+ with growth again on the PE. When I opened the dull B+ jars from the first week they smelled almost like a bad wine (if that makes sense). I have grown B+ in the past with no issues and my technique is the same. The only thing I can even think is that maybe I received mislabeled B+ spores from a different species that cant colonize BRF cakes. Any input would be much appreciated, thx all

Sounds like the B+ syringe is bad. Did you get any mycel growth or just bacteria or mold?
Also what strom said. Lots of cowboys out there in the spore-vendor business.

yes my thought was the problem lied within the syringes as well, as that is the only possible solution that could make sense in my head. There is no visual mycelium growth or contamination growth or any kind. It looks just like a normal jar after sterilization with small needle slips under each lid hole and a slightly darker mixture hue where the spore liquid was injected.

You didnt see any spores on your slides. Theses spores from vendors are for microscopy only. And you should prolly removed their name from the thread, so as too not incriminate them.

I realized the smell may be a result of the creek water I used in some of the jars. I will take note this weekend if I notice a difference in smell of the creek water and well water jars. Water type doesnt seem to indicate any difference in colonization performance.
Recently I have also injected multiple different cube strains hoping to isolate those specific B+ syringes as the problem

Get the Vagasil
But seriously OP just email them and say that "after examination there does not appear to be any viable spores". This blanket statement will cover most situations and will not raise any alarms. Though one time I said that to a sponsor and they emailed me back suggesting that I re-hydrate the spores before inoculating my agar, and that they would send a replacement print anyway
