Pelli's ?

I'm new to LBM's in general. Cyans were pretty easy to peg but pelli's seemed a lot more variable. I'm pretty sure I've got them but I want a confirmation please. Tacky caps obvious blue bruising spore print purple/brown in old mulched decorative beds under conifers.
I wanted to attach an image but that proved problematic. Here is a link to the uploads on this forum. Thanks.

That link send us to our own galleries, but the pictures in your "other" gallery look like Psilocybe pelliculosa.

Thanks loco. I think I need to update my flash player or something. I can't copy and paste the codes.

Wow, look at the bruising on some of those guys! I agree with Jet Li. They look like Psilocybe pelliculosa to me.

Yep. Plenty of obvious bruising. Some of the stems are real stocky too compared to what I expected since most of the descriptions of this shroom include "mycena like". I found about 220 caps in every state of age, moist/dry, rotting, etc. I think I've got the imprint on this one finally. I was a little anxious picking them because if I had a brain I could have put together the (sticky caps + dirty stem bases = dirty mushrooms) equation. I should have gone home for scissors.

Pelliculosa, stuntzii, and baeos love to get crap on their caps. especially when you try and take pictures.. Nice pelliculosa!
You should check the spore measurements, could be silvatica

I discovered recently that my microscope is too weak for this stuff. It's a relic from Stanford U. sold to a friend in 1971. I assume Stanford sold it because it was being replaced with a newer, better scope. So this thing is probably from the fifties. A new one is pretty low on my long "need to get" list too.

Did you mean these?
The stems are so thick on those, mine are so much thinner. Cool beans!

On the stem note... Most of the pics I've seen of pelli's have a more brownish stem fading to lighter nearer the cap and with fine fibrils on the lower half. My stems are more squat, evenly colored whit-ish to very light and no fibrils??? I assume pelliculosa is a species "complex" then and that would explain the variability and ID difficulties.
If I decide to "play" with these I think I'll take it easy at first because they just look a bit different and possibly more active.
