Looking for ovoids for the first time
    #19151095 - 11/17/13 06:16 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

So based on rumors from a fellow hunter friend of mine, I hear there's "invasive" Ovoids in the PNW, in my home town even!
Well, being unfamiliar with the species till several days ago, I'm not even going to try to identify these myself as there seems to be many variant looks for this mushroom.

I found something that looks close to some pictures I've seen, but I'm wondering if you guys could help me ID them?

Habitat:
Was growing on wood chips, white in color.

Gills:
Light to dark brown depending on how mature the fruit is, gills are attached to stem.

Stem:
1 to 4 inches, 1/8th-1/2ish inches, whitish tan, hollow.

Cap:
1/2 inch to maybe 3-4 inches, whitish tan, smooth, caps are pretty wavy in more mature specimens, but rounded in young.

Spore print color:
Working on getting prints as I type this, will report back.

Bruising:
Not very much bruising yet. Two of the more mature ones have a bit of blackish blue bruising on parts of their stem.
