my bias is not believing conjecture at face value. seems like a pretty useful bias to me. considering all you're doing is personalizing, like all the other... "global warming people".
i'm too biased to see what? that there are strong storms? that there are stronger storms happening recently, then previously seen? that there are strong storms, and that they can get hypothetically get worse?
what exactly am i being biased about? i acknowledge that there is a climate warming issue... that we pollute the planet at an exponential rate... (being that i refuse to drive, and work for any corporations, should clue you in on how much i despise them) i acknowledge that there is the possibility of a real problem occurring. all i am asking for is for verifiable, irrefutable proof before you or anyone else, says that "climate warming is causing massive super storms beware!"
you hearing me yet? or, are we all still on "well if you can't believe me, then you must be dumb"?

God damn it's getting bad over here I've lost power like 8 times. I can hear trees snapping like twigs in my back yard, this wind is insane!

It's a general principle that hot things move faster than cold things and that hot substances are able to dissolve more solid or liquid material. It's also a general principle that things that move faster do more damage to the stuff they bump into. They especially do more damage if they're really big and heavy. All these things should be common sense.
There are experiments you can do at home to demonstrate the fundamental principle behind climate change, that more carbon in a mixture causes that mixture to retain more heat. http://glory.gsfc.nasa.gov/globalwarmingexperiment.html
Stormfronts are hard to simulate and it's essentially impossible to track their behavior from beginning to end (seeing as they don't actually have a real "start" or "finish", being patterns of a very large single system), but the premise that they can be exacerbated by global warming follows so logically from everything we know about physics-- and has been confirmed by so much research, as I've demonstrated countless times-- that the burden of disproof is far heavier than that of proof.
I'm such a sucker for even posting here, you guys are a bunch of trolls.
thanks for the lesson in commonality. yes, this is like that... but is this, that? no answer still. right? we still have no correlation between weather patterns and climate warming getting as bad on this exponential curve, as some predict. any proof of the event in question? oh well. i guess not.

Gotcha. We are on the same page and I am sorry for attacking you based on that single comment. I applaud you for demanding proof, since it is only a fool who believes what he is told at face value.. but there is enough easily understood and easily accessible research out there pointing to AGW that demanding more at this point is bordering on willful ignorance.
I understand being cautious, and the consensus may still turn out to be wrong, but none of us here (that I am aware of) are qualified to condradict the consensus view of climate scientists. At some point you have to accept that what they are saying is very likely true.

You are either a bad troll or you are in denial. A good troll would argue over the credibility of the sources I've posted, but you simply ignore them completely and then say I've provided no evidence. You studiously ignore all of my evidence, so I will not bother to provide you with any more. I'm ending this conversation. I honestly do have much better things to do than entertain you. Good-bye.

i don't deny that it's true. i'm asking for a reason for concern. this whole thread, that's all i've really originally asked for... simply a reasoning as to why we are worried and equating this current storm (which is utter shit) to "a storm caused by climate change". i'm not asking for more proof to prove climate change further.

LOL, ok, whatever uppity fool. i didn't ignore your studious attempts at clarification. i just didn't acknowledge them, because your pandering is irrelevant. you're trying to provide an opposing argument, to something i'm not even arguing, which is why you toiling over this is not only amusing... but also immensely... stupid. here you are, a smart lad, and you're being completely fucking... I refer you to what I said on page 3 of this thread:
Quote:
Climate change means that extremes of all kinds will get worse as the years progress. It is true that no matter how terrible, you can never point to any single event and say 'AHA!, climate change!', but the last few years have been very interesting, and things will only get more interesting as climate change progresses.
Anyone who points to any specific weather event and cites it as irrefutable proof of global warming in and of itself simply does not understand how global warming works. It is just as ridiculous as climate change deniers calling it all a hoax because New England got lots of snow last winter. It is the aggregate data over decades which counts, not any specific event.

You have not provided any such evidence.
The climate changes. It always has. It is why there is aerobic life. It is why we aren't covered with ice to the 30th parallel. Things not established by the Tardoscenti:
1. That atmospheric CO2 increase from 0.03% to 0.04% is human driven 2. That it is causing any global temperature increase 3. That there is a global temperature increase 4. That it is a bad thing
