Since being knocked up, it's been around 2 weeks. Give or take 2 days. Life is hectic haha
Thanks guys

Aren't you not supposed to soak if you're doing g2g?
The master jars should not be soaked. I think he meant prep more grain for the receiving jars.

Exactly! Soak 24 hrs, boil for a couple to steam dry, then PC at 15psi for 90 minutes. Wait a day or two then g2g transfers.
How long can a grain jar sir before it dries out too much?

I don't shake/break it up at any point before spawning to bulk, but not for any particular reason. Everyone's got their theories as to why you should or shouldn't, but I personally just inoculate and leave it there until it's done. Honestly, I don't know how much it really matters. Right now I've got some that are just inching along, so I'll give it a whirl.
PS: I tried PrimalSoup's method of consolidating the grain to improve potency, and so far he's right. It could just be bullshit, but others seem to be experiencing it, too.

Consolidating does not increase potency. It's total bullshit.
Consolidating spawn can slow down colonization time once spawned to bulk.
Shaking a grain jar at 20% can take days off of colonization time.

Yes, that's an obvious no. I wouldn't even try to inject sterile water before doing a g2g.
Pretty sure he means soaking his grains so they could be PC'd to receive the G2G

same here, i dont shake them either, just let them colonize. 12 days usually with wbs this is for MS syringe the reason is, the spores have to mate, the closer they are to each other the better.
if u use lc u can shake it straight away after the inoculation lc is already mycelium, shake it shake it, to distribute it well in the whole jar

Aero... After a jar is colonized around 20-30%, the dikaryotic mycelium has already formed...
Therefore you can shake. This is MS injection.
I told you on the other post, read more!

I dunno, my tub was fully colonized in a week. Considering the size of the tub, I'd say a week was pretty quick. Leaving the grain jars fully colonized for 3 weeks wasn't intentional but circumstances dictated that it needed to happen. After the tub had fully colonized, I let it sit another week and introduced it into fruiting conditions. Have you ever tried consolidating grain? I'm going to do it a few more times to see if it was just an anomaly or not.

Yes, I have let grain jars consolidate. Sometimes it results in slower substrate colonization and sometimes it don't.
