There is no such thing as death and we could, in fact, be in a simulation.
    #19149596 - 11/17/13 12:43 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Here, a quantum physicist explains how he believes death really is an illusion and life/consciousness creates the universe, not the other way around.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2503370/Quantum-physics-proves-IS-afterlife-claims-scientist.html

And here, physicist James Gates says how they recently found error correcting block codes hidden in the laws of fundamental particles.

What would knowledge of the illusion be then?

I find Spivack's rejection of this possibility to be more compelling.

Whenever I hear talks about simulated reality or it being a dream/illusion this is what I think:

Even if this all were a simulation, it still wouldn't affect the 'reality' of what we are experiencing. It would be a 'simulated reality' but 'simulated' couldn't be said to be synonymous with 'false'.

If from the time of the big bang until the time the universe ends, it was all just a computer simulation without even ever having the chance/ability to not be a simulation....then all that could be said of this reality, was that it simply is what it is. Sometimes when these discussions come up it is as if people think that if this were all just a dream/illusion/simulation then all of our experiences would be 'false' and not 'real'. But if something is ALWAYS false without even having the ability to be otherwise (true) then we can't say of it that it is even false in the first place. How can something be said to be false if it doesn't even inherently possess the ability to be otherwise--to be true?

we simulate/cultivate unique worlds through garnered experiences, and reinforce perceptions with beliefs and definitions.
