trip report - cubensis level 5 * 1
    #1914954 - 09/14/03 08:38 AM (20 years, 4 months ago)

goodness me. that wasn't really fun at all.

i had a glass jar full of very fine shroompowder from a grow about 6 or more months back. a month or so ago i'd sampled my standard 5g dose from this jar, and it barely moved me: some colour changes and mild giggly thoughts, but none of the usual goodies. therefore i reckoned it had become inactive over time, and did not treat the contents with the respect it deserved.

 big mistake

so anyway, i poured half the jar into a cup (approx 15-20g dry, as i weighed the other half just now to find out). i added some water and some honey, and 'drank' it down with a few rinses. luckily i don't mind the taste. within 15 minutes i could tell this was a LARGE dose.

.

to cut a long story short, i was garbling, speaking in tongues, hearing my thoughts spoken as an echo of themselves, unable to stand for two hours. i lost consciousness and came to lying on the bed staring at my screensaver with tears on my cheeks. i had a vague recollection of bizarre atomic visions, but nothing succinct enough to explain in words.

.

next i had a bunch of weird thoughts. ate about a ton of junk. spent 60 minutes under a hot shower staring at a tree out the window. the last stage i was seemingly exploring my memory banks, as i recalled in detail stuff that happened years ago, in detailed closeup. my vision was worthy of superman - i could focus on several facets of each mote of dust.

not the most pleasant of experiences, and a lesson learned. plus this morning i have a headache, and really stiff stretched muscles/tendons. dunno what that was all about. shirley's trip tip: do  not  eat 15-20g dry.

Sounds like fun!

I have been there before. I wrote a trip report a few months ago entitled "Too much". It sounds like you took to much as well.

Good report.

I like the exploding shroom.A picture speaks a thousand words,huh. :crazy2:

The Ralph-eating-paste gif explains it all!

--------------------
The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

So many people including myself have thought their shrooms to be bunk, so the take double or triple the amount they should and end up a vegetable for 6 hours. I hope you have a new found respect for mushrooms now.

Great report btw. Loved the pictures to go along with the story line!

*laugh* Been there, done that... the old 'double the dosage without thinking it through'... instant onset and hours of hell to enjoy.

> my vision was worthy of superman - i could focus on several facets of each mote of dust.

Interesting... when this happened to me, I ended up with temporary bionic hearing. I was laying on the floor in the bathroom and I could hear my neighbors, in their kitchen, next door, during winter (in Colorado), talking about their plans for the rest of the weekend.

I did something similar with about 15 grams.  Except I new what I was doing and wanted the experience.   I don't think I'd do it again though -- the most intense parts I don't have much recollection of.  And the day afterward I was pretty sick.

It felt like my mind had been struck by lightening or touched by god if you believe in the spiritual aspect.  I remember thinking, "I can die now, I've experienced everything."

I want to find a dose range where I can have a similar but less crippling experience and remember it better.

"A nation's hope of lasting peace cannot be firmly based upon any race in armaments but rather upon just relations and honest understanding with all other nations...

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed... The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. We pay for a single fighter with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people..."

Ralph must be the trippy one from the show. Krusty and Otto are smokers for sure. And i reckon Mayor Quimby snorts coke.

Thanks for the report. I've taken 20g dry and visited a similar place. It's not exactly fun, but it is interesting. I'll do another high-dose trip some day, but not for a while.

Too bad you didn't have company; it might have made the trip better.

Welcome back...

Nice trip shirley
Im completely addicted to mushrooms at present, i dont do them all the time but i wish i could do them. Its true that each trip changes you, im just worried that they may change me too much if you kno what i mean. Anyway ide like to do a strong dose, maybe not to have so much fun but realise the full potential of these things. mos ive done was 4g, wasnt too bad.
