What game is that?
I will say it once more; generating an opinion then running to Google to cherry pick data which supports your opinion and twist or ignore all that which contradicts it is NOT science.
People are acting like because they can do that, they are right. THAT is the only game being played here... As I said, sometimes it's obvious that evidence is used for dramatic effect in the media, sometimes its obvious that certain groups/scientists have hippy-dippy ideals and simply want the data on their side for a different agenda than putting forth the truth, sometimes its clear that people are pushing global warming for political ends. When that is happening, its easy to spot (for me anyways). But that is the exception, not the rule. The majority of scientists have reached this conclusion independently and based solely on nothing more than years of hard work, research, and field investigations. There ARE kooks out there, they permeate all legitimate (and non-legitimate) endeavors. People act like all scientists are (ironically) doing what Prisoner is doing and creating an opinion/hypothesis and twisting data, lying, and manufacturing evidence to fit that hypothesis (which is not the case); again SOME people may be guilty of that, sure. But it's not an accurate portrayal of (and nor does it debunk) the countless others who are reaching their conclusions based on nothing more than genuine hard work and study. It's NOT some big conspiracy orchestrated by thousands of scientists worldwide.
If you were to aggregate all the journal articles and studies about climate change and get a percentage, you would find that only an extremely small percentage are attempting to debunk the phenomenon as being not caused by human behavior and activities... the vast majority (including the majority of esteemed and renowned scientific groups- which I won't run to Google to name, since you'd just run to Google to attack their credibility) of studies being done by professionals in academia around the entire globe are reaching the same conclusion. As I said above, this is NOT evidence that climate change is caused by humans, thats just ridiculous to claim this as evidence... but it does indicate that thousands of people who have spent countless thousands of hours of intensive study and research (as opposed to countless hours spent posting on the Shroomery) looking at this phenomenon (AKA, people who know their shit about climate change FAR more than you and I) are reaching a conclusion which is likely rooted in fact. How many studies do we need which all corroborate one another before it's accepted? Cause there has been LOT.
Quick Google search turns up the following;
American Geophysical Union
American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America
European Federation of Geologists
European Geosciences Union
Geological Society of America
Geological Society of London
International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics
National Association of Geoscience Teachers
American Meteorological Society
Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society
Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences
Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society
Royal Meteorological Society (UK)
World Meteorological Organization
American Quaternary Association
International Union for Quaternary Research
American Institute of Biological Sciences
American Society for Microbiology
American Astronomical Society
All of whom have reached the conclusions that human activities are a primary factor driving climate change.
But hey let's all pretend the people on the Shroomery who haven't spent a MINUTE in academia studying this stuff know better than these countless thousands of people because they can Google things which support their opinion.
Brilliant!

your "little thing" is a bunch of haphazard bullshit that isn't related to anything in relation to the thread topic. nor is it anything but trying to tie one correlation with another, to make them seem connected, when they aren't.
it's simple as fuck for you guys. find some substantial proof for your assertions, or you can just keep babbling, and people will keep telling you to provide evidence. simple as fuck.
the real argument here, BETWEEN BOTH PARTIES HERE, is whether or not...

being a primary factor in "driving climate change" (which even the notion of which is ludicrous) doesn't mean that we should be dysfunctional and worry about how "these storms are clearly because of our way of life on Earth, so sad, us Humans". when you can't show that these storms are anything but a regular event in the weather.
God, people can be so daft.
plus, to note, those institutions and organizations you posted, are all as politically motivated as anyone you're claiming to be, here. they have reasons and motive to claim that we should "worry". such as lobbying for money to fund projects, which in turn fund their employees. or lobbying for changes in legislation, to serve their agenda.
so trying to claim that their motives are pure, is stupid to say the least.

"Proof" is subjective, and you don't want it to be proven so nothing will meet your qualifications of proof.

proof is not subjective. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCnchhausen_Trilemma
"proof" is an inherent quality. it's objectively deduced, as a way to exact a proportional effect from some source, and judge it's instance of inherent "provability" or in otherwords, truth.

I'm not trying to spread hysteria whatsoever, so if you see that as my intention you've completely misread me. I'm simply trying to point out that the activity of billions of human beings and their technologies and fossil fuels ARE in fact having an impact on the atmosphere... if you wanna equate that to hysteria then go ahead but that's nothing more than you trying to make me seem dramatic to take away from what I'm saying.

yes, you do. you do, cause you just have been for the past while. only you've really sucked at it, so i guess it's suitable to proclaim that "you don't debate climate-change deniers". (even though there are none here; which just makes your denial and subsequent debating kinda fruitless and speculative to begin with)

People who have a scientific background tend to get pissy when you try to have a scientific debate and the other side has little to know scientific evidence to support their point, so they start playing politics, pushing pseudo-science, and coming to terrible conclusions that aren't supported by the vast amounts of actual science that has been done on the subject.
