Seemingly no veil on first flush

I am curious it seems like there has been no veil present at any point in fruiting yet and a few of my first fruits have flattened out and I can tell need picking, but as stated, at no point during development, was an obvious veil present. Deets: BRF Pf tek, 1/2 pint (Wide-mouth) old spore print, but colonized quickly birthed about a week ago kept in an sgfc 95-99% RH and i believe appropriate FAE... If I left out any key information on conditions that may lead to this, let me know. I've had my eye on 'em since they were invitro pinning before i birthed. i never saw a veil - seems contradictory to all I've come to understand...

Strain might be relevant, maybe not.

I'd say clone the inside of the stem high up near the cap and try to figure out what the fuck is going on with it.
Identify it again. Make sure its a cube. Hollow stem? Bluing when picked? Just spit balling ideas here but you don't want to eat something poisonous for sure. You say it's an old spore print I don't know that it isn't one you were given or sold so please be careful.
without a veil how will you know when to print it? That's how I always know when to take a print

Also, the caps are flattening out without any spores being dropped, so I'm really confused bout when to pick 'em and how to go about making a print

I'm gonna dig up this thread because this is happening to me right now except for one strange little difference... Mine are "veil-less" as well, many of them, GT strain, growing in a 27-quart mini mono, except what's really weird about this to me is that the first flush was glorious, nearly two ounces dry and only one was a mutant, and it had the mushroom version of a cleft lip, you know, the little "vagina" on one side of the cap that you may have seen before. Other than the one they were all great. Second flush comes around and there are only about 25 guys growing, and about half of them have no veils! It's like my GT is throwing substrains. I just think it's interesting. The lower part of the cap's "rim," as it were, looks very thin and kind of dry. Meh, I'm not worried about it, but I figured if add my experience for posterity since I found this while searching. You're not the only one with mushrooms that like to play tricks on us cultivators :P I hope that batch turned out well for ya.
