Agar recipe for woodlovers?

What is a recommended agar recipe for woodlovers. I've got some azures going on ELME and seems not to take to it very well. Would water from steeped chips suffice? Still add a little elme? This is my 1st foray into woodlovers, would like to hear some experienced feedback.
Interesting side note ... even though I shook the crap out of the syringe, there was a slug of spores still in the tip. Gasp. Too late now. You get a purple myc volcano. Sorry I didn't get a pic of it. It just sat there for days, just a big purple wart. Just starting to move out now, but slow. (I'll bet there are some genetics in that sample.)
My other 2 samples are also slow on the ELME, so, what the best way to put some whiz to the frizz?
Peace, FT

I was under the impression you could use a regular PDA or malt extract mix for wood lovers.
I have germinated spores of a Blewit on potato agar and some karo before.
hope this was helpful

From Frank's Agar Recipe Journal:

1ab) Malt-extract: 10g LME(a) / GLME (b), 10g agar
23) Wood-lovers agar: add 10g sawdust to agar recipe.
Been using (1ab), sometimes going .80LME:1agar with good results
Curious if the sawdust would suspend or settle for (23) though, seems like that would require a pour method which i'm not too fond of.. Maybe i'll give it a shot during the next transfer
From what i can gather, newspaper pulp or egg carton pulp should have similar effect as sawdust by providing the lignin (i'm assuming) woodies are hungry for.
and Frank's reply

Good stuff. I know that with most of these recipes I will need to swirl the agar to mix it every few plates poured. I've also heard water used to soak woodchips is good for making agar for wood lovers.
My lions mane is picky and slow on my MEA. I'm going to test this out soon.

I thought I had read all of Franks posts concerning agar, must have missed those. I'll go the sawdust route and knock back the malt a touch. They seem to be picking up a bit. Maybe its just the dif between cubies and azures. Like I said - Azurenoob. I'm a little early as far as starting these, but I couldn't wait, I got time for a few mistakes, and if all goes well - mondo spawn accumulation by Spring. Amazingly clean syringe from outdoor prints. Pays to play with trusted sponsors.
