There is a new Russell Crowe/Anthony Hopkins movie that looks to put all previous cinematic efforts to shame with awesome special effects.
If it is presented as a cool story I have no problem with it. But if it is presented as factual and historical then another generation will require serious deprogramming.

Well it's a Darren Aranonofsky film and they are usually pretty wacky and artistic, so I should think it'll be the former.

First reviews are trickling in. Many Christians are hating it because the onscreen fiction is different than the book fiction. How dare they?
Pam writes: Very much dislike the film. Greek mythology mixed with transformers. The movie portrays Noah as non Prophet. He and God in this movie are man haters. No one has read the bible. According to this movie God hated man and the ark was to save the animals. Then man would die. Not even close. I am ashamed that I gave my money to the atheists. It is surprising how far away from God this world is now. This could have been a good message. Nope.

I might read some reviews just for kicks like that one but am definitely not watching a movie on the beble, what a loathsome way to spend two hours.

Even if it were purely fiction I'd still be pissed off by all the green screening.
But for real OC, that Pam writes: made my friggin' day. Worth making the movie just for her.

I know, right?
Why couldn't Hollywood spend a few trillion trillion more and actually flood the entire world instead of taking cheap shortcuts?

These lazy gold-diggers keep making the same movies over and over whilst improving how it looks 3D etc.
Screw the cinematic efforts this story is so old and has been done so many times, wtf i get the impression its looked down upon to be creative in the film making business these days.

Mediocrity exists in every industry I don't like it either

I mean there's a certain point where one just shouldn't bother, if one has nothing to say then don't scream it out on the streets.

I actually enjoyed it; was surprised since I ordinarily can't stand films based on religious doctrine. Worth a see IMO; if nothing else for the six-armed rock giants. Russell Crowe & the guy who plays his nemesis (Tubal-Cain) were excellent.

I agree bro. Thinking about it now the bigger problem seems that the streets are controlled so they can scream whatever they want and by the streets I mean the media because realistically not many people get their information from the streets anymore unless they are affiliated with drugs.
Its a big story though , your completely right in saying that Mediocrity exists in every industry from the dodgy rushed labor on newly built houses or to the fact that the musicians go hungry whilst playlist shuffling button pushers can instantly replace others because he is cheaper to hire than multiple people.
I think we live in interesting times.
