Have psychedelics changed the way you view food before?

For example it may be easy to be on auto pilot on a regular day and eat whatever comes in the way such as chips and dairy food, etc...
Maybe while tripping some people will view food more as something to do for health rather than just taste tho.
It could be really individual tho obviously. I'm sure some people wouldn't care but I could also see tripping being eye opening in some ways about food for some people.

For the most part, I don't like to eat if I don't have to while tripping. I have done it before, but meat in general doesn't bode well... If I eat something that has ligaments or tendons, I can get really turned off from eating meat for a while. I was a veggie for almost 3 years once from this.

Yeah I don't really eat when I trip either. I do remember one time when friend droe me to the G.D.'s parking lot and I picked up a sheet. Of course I had to try it and on the way back we stopped at denny's. I ordered pancakes for some weird reason. I swore up and down they where undercooked and gooey. Needless to say i didn't eat them. I have never or would never order pancakes, why did I that time...
I pretty much go liquid diet on trips. That is untill the last hour or so, then I get ravenous and eat just about anything.

I CAN eat while tripping, but it's never a good experience for me. Food looks weird, tastes weird, and I have a hard time swallowing it. I even have a hard time drinking water... it feels slippery and weird.
'weird' seems to be a recurring word for me while on mushrooms; especially if food gets involved.

Its actually insane how much tripping changed my view on food. Before I tripped for the first time, I was a ridiculously picky eater, ate a lot of garbage, very few vegetables. After tripping for the first time, I don't know what happened, but my taste was completely revamped. I'm super adventurous now, love trying different types of meat such as elk, bison, ostrich, and I eat tons of vegetables. To this day I still think tripping sort of acted as catalyst in helping me mature. Almost seemed like tripping lifted the blinds from my eyes, I just suddenly became interested in health, the news, science. Feels good

Maybe it's just that psychadelic mushrooms taste fucking gross, and once you brought yourself to eat those nasty things nothing else seemed gross anymore by comparison.

Psychedelics haven't done fuck all for me apart from give me entertainment. Yet, I have changed my views about many things over the last decade.
Some people get deep insights from using psychedelics. Some people only get lulz from it. Some people only get a bad trip or two out of it. Some people don't use psychs and get deep insights nonetheless. Some people don't fit in any of these categories.
Can we be done now with the whole 'psychedelics did xyz' please? Because obviously, they are just a tool and a very crude tool at that. The hammer didn't build your house. People did. And they used much more than just a hammer.

Good thing you didn't post this in TPE
I like your use of the word crude.

Yeah, I think many of the kids in TPE wouldn't be able to handle this truth too well. But if they trip really hard, the psychedelics may make them see that it's really true.

One time I was on my way down from a trip and some friends wanted to go eat at this Korean joint where they had this bullshit called brick toast. My friend said "I'll order you one since you're always high and eat like a stoner anyway" But they didn't know I was shroomin. So we get it and I take probably 2 or 3 bites of this fucking syrupy overly sweet gloppy mess which makes me wanna puke. So for her trouble I float the bill which I wasn't looking forward to. Like I imagined it ended up being really uncomfortable with me trying to handle money and conduct a transaction with the guy at the front being I was out of my mind. Felt like I had to solve Plank's Constant or something. But that's beside the point.
Made me wanna go live on Kale shakes the rest of the week.

Over the years eating while tripping has become an easy thing for me.
I used to not eat anything except fruit and candy while tripping tho.

I can't tell you if psychedelics were the catalyst but I've definitely changed the way I view food over the last few years.
I'm even considering mostly cutting out meat and cutting down on dairy
Kind of like being a sometimes-vegan

Sorry dude but you are wrong true the hammer may have not built the house but it sure made it alot easier
I believe that through the use of pychs my mind has truly been opened and matured much faster than it otherwise would have true i dont believe one trip has ever changed my life but through many it has helped changed my perception and outlook
