Does my SGFC look better than my previous FC guys?

So I followed all ya'all's advice and built a SGFC, washed the perlite off the cakes (they bruised blue a bit from all that) soaked them for 24 hours in well water as they were pretty dry, set up a 6500k bulb 14w, rolled them in verm and put them in their new home.
I left one cake without verm on it so I can see how it is recovering, see hyphal knots, pins etc. growing.
Did I put too much verm on the cakes? I assume the verm helps maintain humidity around the cakes?
And advice? Am I missing anything?

This is the old set up for reference.

Much better. Mist and fan twice a day, and fan in between mistings as well.

I'm running it at 72 degrees. I read lower temps makes more potent mushrooms, though they grow slower. Is 72 okay?

Potency is genetic. Cooler temps are known to cause slower growing, smaller, yet dense and meaty shrooms. Many people prefer this, myself included. Anywhere from 70F to 80F is perfect. Even 65F is okay.

I'm not sure that temperature has anything to do with actual fruit size...
Density and speed definitely...
I think that fruit size is mostly dependant on genetics and moisture content....

Hey Notahacker,
I really wish the two links "New Cultivators Guide" and "Shit for Noobs" in your signature were available in the getting started section and stickies in the cultivation forum. For new cultivators, trying to figure out who/what to beleive here is daunting as there are many opinions and many techs. I followed a tech that mades the most sense to my noob understanding, but it ended up wasting a lot of time and pissing off the mycelium.
These two links are great and need to be easy to find for noobs. Note to the admins: please make these available. You might even consider creating a page just for noobs with only the PF Tech and SGFC tech to get people started and steer them away from all the other stuff.

I can't tell what your FC is sitting on, maybe some sort of louvered thing, but the bottom holes need to be exposed.
Otherwise....

When I think of the fruits being larger due to heat, I am also thinking of them being hollow and having the same relative weight as the slow growing denser ones. I did not mean to imply that temp has any effect on yield, more that the faster growing yet hollow shrooms have the appearance of being larger. This is mostly just a personal observation that comes from growing in a climate that ranges from 95f in the summer to -31f in the winter. This in turn means my grow room temps range from 78-80 in summer and 68-72 in winter. Anyway this is all anecdotal so I should have presented it as such.

@Thatmonk: Did you know that paint resizes pictures now and its standard on all windows PCs?
@OP: I cant tell what you were trying to achieve with the first one, but the new one looks MUCH better! Mist/Fan 3 times a day and you'll be golden!

Don't it need at least 4-6" clearance on all sides ? Seems a tad close to the wall.

By fruit size, do you mean mass or volume? Something that increased mushroom density, which is calculated with the equation (mass) / (volume), would have to do it by increasing the mass--meaning a smaller mushroom for the same unit of weight--or decreasing the volume, which also means a smaller mushroom for the same unit of weight.

I was talking about the actual size(mass) of the fruit bodies, not the density or weight.
