nah I never watched sesame street but nothing came across as "psychedelic" to me as a child. a lot of childrens shows are strange but most kids dont think twice about them

how old are you? im 24. sesame street played when I was a child (and I believe it still does, does it not?) I was just more interested in stuff like animal planet and discovery channel. thats just what my mom raised me to be interested in. my parents discouraged me from watching childrens programming in general cuz not all of it approved of the christian message they wanted to indoctrinate me with

im not saying i dont "like" it. different people just have different ideas of "psychedelic". it's a goofy, colorful video for sure but i could easily see how people who have never taken psychedelics could imagine and create such a thing. im not trying to put your video down.
the closest things i had to psychedelic experiences as a kid were probably reading scifi and fantasy novels like Ender's Game that had heavy ethical philosophy embedded inside of them.
i tend to think of psychedelic in terms of the definition "mind manifesting" though rather in terms of the visual effects produced by taking psychedelic drugs

well one of my buddies just graduated from college and originally wanted to be an animator cuz he loves shows like adventure time but ended up doing 3d graphic design (with plans to like character and environment design for video games) cuz it's more lucrative. he still likes to draw and make cartoons and stuff. and he has taken acid (no shrooms or dmt tho) and smokes weed occasionally. he says it's not uncommon in the field. then again lately I'm finding it's not uncommon for people my age to have taken acid and to smoke weed in any field (or lack therof). he said it's also common for people in the field to be quite eccentric without taking any drugs at all. so you never really know.

Watch your old tv shows again you will be blown away by all the subliminal messages and shit you didnt understand as a child. Alot of cartoonists are super far out artists who can only make a living with kids shows and their creativity slips.

once when i was a kid my sister and i went outside after dark. we went to this row of pine trees. she told me to lie down and look at the sky. when i did the stars and the pine trees began to spiral around us. i don't know how she knew that would happen or why we experienced it but yeah that was my first psychedelic experience i guess. i was probably no more than five years old. i haven't thought about that in years. I'm glad i saw this thread. ah, nostalgia.

I saw a ghost when I was a little kid. Like a vivid one made out of white ethereal material that would dissipate into thin air after a few seconds. That was fairly "out there" and psychedelic. Really mind-fucked me for a while as a child. Especially since no one believed me and I ended up just suppressing the memory.
Besides that, I had several serious illnesses that induced some very psychedelic head spaces.
