I've been thinking a lot about ancient cultures recently after seeing a documentary called ancient aliens. I'm planning to make a voyage to Egypt eventually and solve some mysteries . In the meantime I'm stuck looking at the Mayan ruins when I go to Cancun next year.

Man It probably sucked hard, imagine some dirty stinky man smashing your head open with a jagged rock because he wanted to steal your meat, and not your man meat your food meat. I get pissed when I had roomates who used to eat my food, but if some asshole came along and killed me for my food I'd be super pissed man.
I'm really nice in real life but I'm imagining me like 1000 years ago..... I'd probably be really stinky and a big prick, I'd probably have to kill a bunch of people just to survive, hunt for food, no cragislist to find random trannies, nope; fuck ancient times. I'm just kidding about the trannie part....
If I had to pick a time period to go back and live in it would probably be around when Rome was kicking it hard, I'd be like this build centurion hacking heads off in the name of Rome, most likely die at sea during some crazy storm or something like that. I don't know , I'd probably take being hacked to death with swords rather then drowning, drowning just seems scary to me

Y'all seem to think that the world was some sort of stone age place 1000 years ago. Believe it or not, most places were pretty civilized. Not to the hyperorganized extent we see today, but still pretty organized. And smashing people's skulls would have gotten you executed just like it would in Texas today. I leave it up to you to draw conclusions from that about 1000AD or about Texas.

I bet Rome circa 100 AD and Athens 330 BC were pretty legit.

1000 years ago I'd be riding Triceratops while lighting forest fires, and don't you tell me there wasn't any dinosaurs back then because I won't listen

And back in the day you could rape women all the time, that would have been sweet.

Contrary to popular belief, the societal, legal and technological artifacts of civilization that the Greeks and the Romans left behind largely didn't go lost. They kept in place, but centralized control over a large empire (Romans) and democracy (Greeks/Romans) gave way, making dissemination of new technology a slower and less effective process.

If you could choose a time period what would it be? Romans would've been crazy. Greeks? Be a fucking spartan. Oh yeah.
Presuming humans survive long enough we are living in ancient times too

People have always had explanations. Instead of a scientific explanation of exploded stars formed heavy elements and yad yada yada it was just Odin took a dump and out we crawled. And who knows, maybe the Odin poop theory is the right one anyways.
