Shroom pointing down

One of my fruits decided to grow down instead of up, and I had to elevate the cake to keep it from touching the wire mesh I have underneath it (the cake itself is sitting on a jar lid). Was wondering if it will hurt the shroom to keep growing and touching the mesh or did I do right by elevating it? Reason I ask is because right above it is another growing and almost touching my drip shield, I can only go so high. I may just have to lay the cake on its side until they're ready for harvesting. I'm unsure of why it didn't turn upwards even with my light source above it.

it should be allright if it grows and touches the mesh. Just don't move the cake around while it is touching, may cause bruising. Or you can lay it on its side.

It is ok if some freak shroom grows abnormally, just don't let any fruits touch the drip shield. Things could get funky.
