He was a special child

Been watching this guy grow. Harvested this am.
Possibly a mutant or a deformity. Either way I thought it looks pretty wicked and worth a share  :crazy2:

I'm pretty sure a deformity it's because it's mutated... at least when the deformity is gills growing on top of the cap.

A deformity is usually from mutations, especially when it's something as crazy as that.

Psssh.  Do you call wolverine's healing ability a DEFORMITY!?!!?

It's a mutation not a deformity. 'Deformity' while I guess correct implies that the form of the mushroom is somehow 'incorrect'

How do you know the mushroom wasn't just utilizing it's genetics more robustly in an attempt to better propagate it's species?

I like the term 'mutation' it's just so much more neutral over the word 'deformity' which makes it sound like there is something wrong with our beautiful babies.  Even the slightly retarded ones are special :derp: Wow I can't find enough places to use that image.

I know that. You know that. He's new and questioning.

How about I say, "Yes it's a mutant, nothing to worry about."

You are absolutely right. I'm sorry I'm not meaning to confuse. I only believe in keeping our hard work in a completely positive viewpoint whether a mutation or a small harvest or what-have-you. All grows are learning experiences.

I wasn't trying to be hostile!  I hope it wasn't taken that way! I just don't like the word 'deformity' for personal reasons and I promise you that was the only point I was trying to make and it was not personally directed at you specifically.

I'll just assume you have a third nipple.

No hostility on my end. I just have a hard time realizing that not everyone's brains aren't looking at everything from 100 points at once.

hahaha..you guys are funny

The only reason I said mutant or deformity was because I read a thread where someone had a mutant and got told it was a deformity. So i didnt want to choose the one or the other.

I prefer mutant as well.. mutation is the key to evolution:thumbup:

peace to everyone
