 What's the best way to combine MDMA and Schrooms?

A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I took about 1 point each of pure, powdered mdma. At the same time we ate about 1g of schrooms via chocolate edibles.
I think they kicked in together. The schrooms were pretty strong at first, but then mostly wore off within a couple of hours. We took another point maybe 4 hours in, but the schrooms were all gone by then, and had very little effect.
What did we do wrong? Any advice on how to use these two medicines together?

I like to wait about 45-60 min after taking the shrooms to take the mdma, that way the shrooms are starting to kick in the mdma enhances things from there. Then more mdma later if needed.

Gotcha... So, did the MDMA kill off the schrooms in m previous trip? If so, why?
I've heard ppl say to take the schrooms first like you did, and others say the opposite. What is your reasoning for your suggestion? Im not challending you, at all, just trying to get my head around how these two medicines interact with each other.
