Not only do I "care for" some healthy competition, I CRAVE IT.
Those are all epic shots, I love that mosquito(or whatever) pic, where have I seen it before?
The dead dog really captures the essence of the moment, I like.

Just got home.
I'll be back with some pics. I found a chrome Gymnopilus-- make sense to anyone?
I saved a specimen.

I may have double posted that mosquito from somewhere. I just put it on NatGeo today as well. And that fox lost his cunning.

I can't wait tho see your chrome gym. What ever that means:popcorn:

Handful from yesterday at a place called inspiration point.  Rode a couple of the trails with the dog and then went out on the edge of the cliff.  You can see if you picture 6 and just go straight up and a bit to the left from the road there.  You can actually see a couple people up there in the picture.

I'd call that 'second one' a Gymnopilus.
Haven't added anything to MO yet, Dr.T, good to see you as well. Love the shots too, especially the one with your feet.

That looks awesome! I knew There'd be something good when I saw you posted here last. How do they compare with P. ostreatus in edibility? Do the textured caps tickle your tongue at all?

BTW, I went and posted up on the pixoto site you mentioned a post or two ago. I'm surprised how well my pics are doing. Almost everything I've posted has at least made it to a leaderboard, and 4 of my pics hit the best of the day award.

I don't know if you've seen me there, but I vote for you every time one of your pics pop up, not that I wouldn't anyways.

You guys take stupid-good pictures.
:unwanted:
It pisses me off how good they are.
The best picture I've ever taken doesn't have shit on the "worst" pictures you guys have.
There is no comparison. You've raised the bar too fucking high! :oldman2:

Awesome DG, you deserve it, one of my shots just made the top 5%. I haven't seen your shots yet but I don't get much time to vote.

All shots are worthy MJK. I just used most of my tax return this year to buy my quipz. I spent around $2000.
If it weren't for taxes I wouldn't ever be able to afford it, I am broke all the time.. pretty much every day but payday.

So since you're here, post some pics. :awesomenod: I know you got 'em.

yea maynard, gotta start somewhere.  That is how I felt when I started posting in the thread, but now I feel like my pictures are much better.  Still need to get  a decent camera, but that will hopefully happen before the new year.

Here are just a couple random ones, I should have some good ones after this weekend.  my bro, and a couple good buddies from back home are coming to visit for the weekend so we will be doing many a outdoor activity.

Did this while practicing in the back yard yesterday.  Was surprised to say the least.

A robin hooded arrow!
Believe it or not, i was second in the world in field archery in my devision. We used to do this a lot, but it would suck because our arrows were 25$ a piece plus labor...
Nice shooting!

I've always wanted to make my own bow. Probably because the story my grandad would always tell about spending months making one and a horse stepping on it the first day he was going to use it.

And Joust, second? what don't you do?

Tmeth, I've proud of you. I've been watching your A tabescens shot moving it's way up the leaderboard. I even voted for that one a couple times.

MJK, do what I did. Take a chunk out of you ramen noodle funds every week and save it. As soon as your bank account shows you've got enough money, BLOW IT ON A CAMERA BEFORE YOU THINK BETTER OF IT! You won't regret it. I spent years, literally, saving for just an entry level T3i. I still can only afford the lense that came with it, and my lady got me small telephoto for my B-day.

Why not go here and see a great collection of Tmethyl's photographs?

For someone who has given so much to this community here on shroomery :feelsshroomyman:  (advice, knowledge, friendship, mentoring, sharing of talents and gifts-  such as this thread), it would be great to reciprocate.

Like, comment, share, all that.:jackiechanofapproval:

I am glad I checked out the NatGeo page, because there were actually multiple photos I had never seen before.  Maybe they were posted in this thread and I missed them, or maybe not.

The published photo is just incredible.  Remarkable!  So remarkable that I had to leave my comment behind.

Tmethyl, let me know when you have another photo that is getting eyes and needs a push.

I hope this weekend will offer you lots of time to go out and snap some more pics!
