but it came directly from the bag, i didnt know whether i should remove them or not so i just threw them in horse poo and mixed the spawn, substrate, and the little mushrooms around. is this a contam issue? should i remove the mushrooms from inside my monotub?

no, i'm new to cultivating mushrooms but i figured that leaving the mushrooms inside the substrate would be ok because
1. they were small 2. they colonized in vitro (less contamination) 3. i broke them apart in the bag and treated it as a part of the spawn

They will probably be ok, but it's not really a good practice. Was the spawn fully colonized before they appeared? Invitro pins before full colonization is usually an indicator of contams.

The mushrooms that grow will be super potent now that you've imbued the substrate with extra psilocin!
It's true! I read it on the internet!

This is the correct procedure. If you have small invitro mushrooms, they get spawned right into the manure with your grains. RR

Thats what I was thinking myself. When in doubt RR will know for sure. Dudes been doing this for forever. You can watch his videos online. I think his signature has a link to them.

Next time, spawn to bulk at 100% colonization instead of waiting a week. Waiting a week, consolidation, is for cakes.
