Pacific Northwest ID please

My wife and I are very new to hunting, so I apologize in advance if the formatting/characteristics are amateur. I hope this is also in the right location.
Specimen #1

The first two photos are just as we found them, under natural lighting, the latter two are under a bit harsher artificial lighting, so hopefully the color isn't too distorted.
Habitat: Wood - growing out of a fallen tree and/or root of nearby deciduous tree
Gill: gills are a light brown/cream color to a slightly darker brown near the tips, broadly attached to the stripe
Stem: Dark brown, fairly thick but slightly hollow in the middle, not too fragile. About 9~ cm tall average
Cap: A rustic brownish-yellow color to darker brownish-black, caps are convex or almost flat in some specimens, mildly wavy. Very smooth and slightly slimy. 8-9cm in diameter
I am making spore prints and should be able to post them tomorrow, for further clarification
Bruising: Very slight bruising (darker yellow on the gills), but I could be imagining it.
I appreciate anyone's expertise and opinions!
We found a lot of random LBMs as well, but I want to get some better specimens with prints before we post any of those.
Thank you!

Thank you very much, we appreciate the feedback.
We're not necessarily looking for psychoactive species, though that would be exciting. We're both cooks as well so edible species would be great to find as we trek. We've done some research but there's a lot to take in coming from a total beginner. It's exciting for us to learn about something new and be able to see it in the field when we take our hikes.
In the future, would posting in the PNW Fall 2013 thread be appropriate? I'd like to make an effort to not clog the board with a multitude of ID threads while we get our mycological bearings.
Thanks again!

Not the active finds thread, but there is a discussion and ID thread, brought to you by Puscifer, where you are more than welcome to post your ID requests.
