The prints kind of look rusty to me, but it's hard to tell.
Habitat? Bruising?
Close up pictures please.

Second the Not Azures and add not active
Unless you are in Astoria, or there abouts... Not finding azures unless someone planted them
Would say a Psathyrella or as mentioned Hypholoma sp. But am no expert....

Sorry they are not active. Maybe Psathyrella. The hard truth is that the pics are too grainy and color is not correct. Thanks for trying, but you might not even be able to get these IDed to species after 1000 photos. You could also be suprised at more accurate IDs with lots of written description, don't take for granted the "Other noticable features" like smell little details about habitat, etc. an accurate description of spore print color can be even better than a picture in situations like this, where there seems to be an obvious hue of red in the pics, making it very difficult to really virtualize a species colors.

I understand honestly, I can't remember to much about when I picked them. I turned my attention were I thought I saw Psilocybe cyanescens growing on a large log that fell across a stream but turned out to have a white print. I don't know, they looked exactly like the damn cyans. Starting to think I'm not cut out for this lol.

Well searching on logs isn't that likely to get you places. They are pretty damn common once you start finding them.

I still find myself tricked from far away and they turn out to be Gymnopus or something Neohygrophorus before I realize I'm in the wrong habitat, entirely lol. However a decent digital cam with a zeiss lens would be best for starters as far as ID requests go.

I know, but I was sure these were cyans they glowed purple were dark brow wavy caps fading to light brown... but no luck. I was in the forest, wish I had a picture of what these looked like when I got them but they did not look like any of the Hypholoma types I'm coming across, there stem is way to large.

Not likely to find any there. They do not occur at any significant rate in forests, unless possibly a new growth from a recent clear cut, with plenty of debris. You are better off in bushes near any regularly disturbed area than in the forest.

Okay, I have a spot near my house they just clear cut. I've see large piles of bark out there. If the cyans are more likely to grow after clear cuts. Do the gills on the cyan go dark fairly quickly after picking or are they already dark color'd? I've seen pics of them both ways, it's slightly confusing. That narrows it down a bit for me though thank you.

When you come up with other finds, check for a pellicle and take a spore print of everything, and make sure you seperate different kinds into different groups. be organized and intent on taking notes of all details of each find, where? what on (under if anything, like trees nearby, etc) just take in your world like will smiths son, just know your surroundings, and slow down and compare to all the confirmed cyans, like the ones in the PNW finds forum (but don't post any ID requests in there dangit lol)

Will do, I need to pay more attention of the details. I always seem to skip over 1 thing & that turns out to be the 1 wrong thing ;p
