1.) this is a jack o lantern. this species [complex?] is beautiful but poisonous. it is interesting aswell. the mycelium is slightly bioluminescent.
2.) probably Amanita sp. i'll update if i can determine further. [edit: as TM noted below you should be sure to consider the amanitas posionous unless detrmined otherwise with absolute certainty]

i'll update this over the next few min.

this are a boletales, xerocomus maybe because of the cap texture.
fourth is one of those smoky chanterelles (cantharellaceae family).

You got nice stuff coming up.

You know (I hope) that the first two should be considered poisonous, the third one is a possible edible (but we need more info to be sure) and those last ones look to be a choice edible.

Great finds and nice photos.

Happy mushrooming!

I left the first 3 sets of mushrooms alone. However the I did pick and munch down one from the fourth picture. No ill effects and it was very tasty. I thought they were black trumpets.

They were. There are actually a few closely related species, but they are all equally edible.

Happy mushrooming!

Those are some serious Laetiporus sulphureus, (chicken of the woods), The only one I've found in RI so far was decaying. I found a nice one at the end of July beginning of August,, but nothing nice lately,,, Good pics,, I'm surprised to see that,, Strobilomyces floccopus, (old man of the woods), still around from the looks of it that one just may be immature enough to consider as an edible. Here's a link check it out. http://www.bluewillowpages.com/mushroomexpert/strobilomyces_floccopus.html

yea ive saved 2 of those pictures myself, the sulfurs.

The Strobilomyces floccopus is also nice, i find it growing around my nieghborhood and neighborhood park all the time during the summer and winter here in florida. they arent bad to eat actually but they tend to be smaller than what ive seen elsewhere.

there is also another Stroblimocyes species very similar to S. floccopus: S. confusus. it tends to be smaller and the spines tend to the thinner and more pointy and less plate-like. I have never found it here. it is less common and has only been found in the eastern U.S. i have a desire to find it, and if anyone has, post a picture if you can.

peace
